    Surefire, PWS or SJC

I've got two 20" barrels for my mws, one has the fcs30, the other the surefire. The surefire is more effective, likely due to its finer tolerances on the baffles. They are both about the same for percieved "blast". Had a battlecomp too, it was about half as effective as the surefire, sold it...

    Semi auto accuracy.....what's the secret?

2 to 2.5 " with fgmm is pretty standard for a five round group. Heck thats actually better than average ! A check up is not going to reveal anything, they're just not an accurate rifle...

    Semi auto accuracy.....what's the secret?

The xcr-m is pretty common up here in canada due to its nonrestricted status. In short, accuracy isn't good. The barrel attachment method is a Mickey Mouse affair and does nothing for consistency. They typically display vertical stringing. I went from 3-4 moa groups with the xcr-m to sub moa...

New Robinson Arms XCR assault rifle series

We've got the newest ones up here in Canada. They sell well because they're one of the few nonrestricted black rifles here. Poor design when it comes to accuracy...build quality is underwhelming. I've had both their 308 and 223 versions. For the life of me, I don't undertand how they've managed...

Rifle Scopes Is the PST 4-16 glass really that bad?

Both of my 4-16 viper pst sfp had terrible glass. Very flat, and didn't resolve well. $400 would have been a fair price for one. Bushnell 3-12 g2's replaced them, and are much better. Looking through a zeiss conquest next to the 4-16pst in the same power range was like taking off a pair of hazy...

    LMT .308 MWS

175 smk and 44 varget was bulging the case webbing on me in lapua brass... My 20" ss loves 44 grains of varget with 168 Amax's in lapua brass at 2.810 oal. Consistantly sub moa, averaging around .5 to .6, with a few .25 groups. Five rounds. My 18" ss I haven't figured out yet, need to do some...

LMT MWS chronicles continue: talked to Gene at LMT today

Only thing consistantly sub moa in my cl 16" is 155 scenars. 45 g of varget, lapua brass, 2.850 oal. Need a modded Pmag or a kac mag to run that oal. Never had luck with 168 or 175 smk in the cl or ss. They could be made to shoot sub moa, but not nearly as the deep as the amax, or as...

LMT MWS chronicles continue: talked to Gene at LMT today

I never did get 175's to shoot well in my 20" ss barrel. Or fgmm either. 168 Amax are sub moa. 44 g of varget in lapua cases, 2.810 oal. Br2 primers. 110 vmax are way sub moa, just a ragged hole at 100. 47 gr of vv n135 in lapua cases, 2.710 oal. Br2 primers. My 16" cl is okay averages 1 moa or...

LMT MWS LM8 20" Stainless: first range trip "RANGE REPORT"

My three stainless barrels don't shoot 178 very well. 168 amax with 44 gr of varget in lapua cases, 2.810 oal are sub moa in all my ss barrels. Consistently. Also 110 vmax's on 47 grains of vv n135, in lapua cases, 2.710 oal are sub moa. My 16" cl hates everything except 155 gr scenars, go...

    Tavor scalping has begun

We've had them up here for a couple years now. Decent carbine, but the trigger sucks, and they're a 2-3moa rifle at best. Better quality polymer and build than the keltec stuff though. I'll take a quality 16" ar anyday.

    Sr-25 or lmt ?

The 168 amax are what I run out of my ss 18" and 20". They're more accurate than the 175 smk out past 1000 for me. Running 44.1 grains of varget, 168 amax at 2.81 coal, lapua brass, br2 primer. 2650 fps. Unlike the 168 smk, the amax will go transonic no problem.

    Sr-25 or lmt ?

For sure ! Just a little more info, as I've played with both and own the lmt. The sr25 is lighter, and has much softer recoil. The lmt has lots of gas and no way to dial it down, not as good for suppressed use. The extra gas seems to add reliability unsuppressed though, I've literally...

    Crossfit, Day 1

Congratulations on sticking with it. I've been at it for about five years now. My wife has been a trainer at our local crossfit gym for the same amount of time. We go to the games every year to watch... Just a heads up, don't forget to let your body recover. Most folks get very impressive...

    LMT .308 MWS

I wouldn't bother with the battlecomp unless someone at the next bench is complaining about the surefire's blast. The surefire is way more effective as a comp.

    Lmt LM308MWS advise?

I'm talking minimum 5 round groups, and on average. I've shot 5 rounds into 1.25" at 300 with the 20" ss barrel... That's not what it'll do on average of course. Long story short, the cl are very accurate for a cl barrel. But on the same day with the same conditions and shooter, the ss will...

    Lmt LM308MWS advise?

The CL are not as accurate as the ss, in the two of each type that I have. The CL is a .75 to 1 moa barrel, the ss are a solid .5 moa. Reloads optimized for each. The cl like 155 scenars and the ss love 168 amax's. Tighter bore on the cl I presume.
