    DPMS GII 308 rifles

I've been drooling over one of these for the last 2 days! I love the LR308 platform...but this GII could be a real winner. My biggest complaint with the SR25 or LR308 is the weight. Even my 16" hunting rifle weighs 9lbs with optic (DPMS Oracle). Shaving some weight would be much appreciated...

anyone tried one of the new high rate of fire triggers?

My buddy is really into the "bump fire" stocks...both on an AR and 2 AK's. I have shot them both several times and found them not for me. They are great for firing a bunch of rounds down range but NOT so great for putting any of those rounds on target. He is single and spends the majority of...

Am I just Lucky or is this For Real (DPMS Recon Scout .308!!!)

I have a plain jane vanilla 16"...think it is the Oracle. I think my wife bought it for me on a whim when she found it on sale at Scheels. Haven't done much to it, outside of the trigger (a must...the original was awful) and adding a rail for bipod installation. It is a pretty good shooter...

Show your new for 2014 AR!

Nowhere near as cool or precision minded as what some of you have built for the new year, but here is my humble addition for 2014. My 12 year old brother stayed with us for a few weeks over Christmas/New Years and decided he wanted his "own" AR-15. He did 99% of the work, only needing help...

Bulk Ammo in .308 -- Price / Accuracy

If you are looking for inexpensive blasters, I shoot quite a bit of Federal XM80CS. It is 149gr FMJ, usually available at Walmart, Scheels, or Cabelas. It runs from $380-400 for a case of 500. My SR25 and LR308 16" will group it into 2-2.25...the M1A hates it though (4"+). Good enough for me...

    Rifles to avoid?

Knights Armament makes some good stuff...but it's probably overkill for the requirements that jasonstewart supplied. I'd have no problem carrying a SR15 in any location on earth...but on the range an RRA or PSA will probably do exactly the same thing if set up the same way. Besides, its not...

    Rifles to avoid?

With those requirements you really can't go wrong with anything that is currently on the market. I have personally tried to stay away from Oly, simply because I got a total POS from them years ago. I see them on the range pretty regularly, and those shooters don't seem to have any problems...
