Range Report 300yd group question
3 shots is a good starting point to narrow down loads, but its better like 40xs said to shot 5-10 shot groups to see the load and the rifles capabilities- berms03

155 or 185 for 308 to 1k
I was in the same boat you were looking at, I was using a Savage 1:12 30" heavy palma and was undecided between the 155 and 190 in my case. I was able to stabilize the 190s in a 30 inch barrel. 7.62 brass starting load a twist to usual question
Starting at the minimum is a good starting point, but most likely will not get you your desired results. Start at the min increase by .3gr or even .5gr and work your way up to the max, always looking for pressure signs- berms03

First Build Need Advice. Help a Noob Out.
4064 is a good powder for 308 but it's difficult to meter, if you're lucky try and find some varget. My load with 4064 is around 42gr 175 SMK with Lapua Brass and BR-2 Primers. I believe the MK316 round runs 4064 at 41.78gr with federal brass and primers- berms03

Rifle Scopes Nightforce Beast or?
Why not stick with the NXS 5.5-25X50? Great scopes, no real need to spend more money then a nightforce, it's hard for the average shooter to see the subtle differences going to a S&B or US Optics. Leupold also makes some good scopes, but NF is better in my book- berms03

175 SMK loadout for 20'' barrel
I run my Remy 700 with Varget 43.3grs behind a 175 SMK with Lapua brass at around 2630fps from a 24" barrel, its deadly accurate at. You'll lose about 50fps per inch.
