    Since I am really new to all this, is there a lighter hand guard I could swap my factory one out for? Besides, I don't really need a quad rail.

    New guy,new powder,new bullet Yes it's 308. I have used Varget as well and 4064. I prefer 4064 for my bolt gun it gives better groups. I guess I should have mentioned, I chose those powders and stocked them a while ago in anticipation for this set up. I am developing this load for a DPMS...
