Rifle Scopes Should I get this for my new rifle?

Re: Should I get this for my new rifle? what would you be using it for? If you're at a range with paved roads and can use the wheels is one thing, but a 25lb case + rifle + Gear on a dirt road where the wheels might drag more then roll? I'd take a lighter soft case. But if you need...

    Feedback Good Guy List

Re: Good Guy List a big old +1 to 42769vette Not only did he get me an optic I'd been patiently waiting for on backorder, he also didn't get too mad as I tried to navigate the perils and setbacks of Paypal that extended the transaction a day or two longer then I intended. Fast shipping and...

What optic do you use and why?

Re: What optic do you use and why? BSA sweets .22 They might be cheap but for target, plinking, and small game they've served me well.

    Question about Shooting Prone

Re: Question about Shooting Prone Well, not sure about Swiss military gear but I would assume it was easier with the cold weather gear and a layer or two. I've got a Pachmeyer slip on recoil pad that I've used interchangeably on my K31/Mosin/K98/M48 though. Tight fit, medium size IIRC, but...

    Rifle Scopes Who is Vortex

Re: Who is Vortex For what it's worth I haven't looked through one, but after days of research chose one simply for the features at what price it comes in at. Just be warned, there's a backorder on the PST scopes. I actually got tired of waiting and decided to try to find an in stock scope...

    Where Can I Get a K98K Mauser?

Re: Where Can I Get a K98K Mauser? http://www.classicfirearms.com/k-98-special-sales I've purchased 3 rifles from them, 2 I kept, 1 I sent back with no issues. They don't give pictures but the descriptions aren't embellished from what I've seen

    338 lapua savage help needed

Re: 338 lapua savage help needed Know it's been awhile and this is an older thread, but after jumping through a few hoops with Savage, and a brief delay by a motorcycle accident, finally got the 110ba in to them for a Warranty claim. Got it back Friday, haven't been able to get to the range...

    338 lapua savage help needed

Re: 338 lapua savage help needed I've got to call Savage on Monday and see what they say, I'll post back for you when I'm done. Prvi, Lapua, and Hornady all have various forms of extraction issues with my rifle.

    mosin nagant barrel mount bipod

Re: mosin nagant barrel mount bipod I've found most of my mosins work best with a small bit of upwards pressure at the very tip of the stock. Have one with the PU Scope that I shimmed to get better free float out of. Opened up to a grouping the size of the NRA Black rings at 100 yards...

    Some Pictures from the Trenches

Re: Some Pictures from the Trenches Regarding the aircraft. Sopwith Camel in the first one. The crashed plane in front of the Hanger is a Fokker D.VII. I don't think it's a Zeppelin hangar, looks too small even with the perspective. Probably an observation Balloon hangar or such.

    7.62x54R cheap shooter

Re: 7.62x54R cheap shooter Regarding 2 feet to the left, buy a bayonet and throw it on there and see if it helps. (don't force it though, might have to fit and finish)

    338 lapua savage help needed

Re: 338 lapua savage help needed Hornady uses a soft brass in the 338 lapua and it gives the Savages problems. Every shot of Hornady ammo requires me knocking back the bolt with a block of wood. Lapua and Prvi Partisan don't give me that problem until round 6 or 7 lol

Brass Extraction problem /new Savage .338 LM

Re: Brass Extraction problem /new Savage .338 LM Same problem with mine. Hornady 250 grain. Each shot required me to sit with a block of wood to get the bolt to extract the case. Called savage, they told me they had been having issues with the softer Hornady brass. Try some other rounds...

Rifle Scopes Counter Sniper Optics: Too good to be true?

Re: Counter Sniper Optics: Too good to be true? I've read about the scopes through here for a long time. I got a friend of mine addicted to shooting awhile back. I was always the milsurp type collector, he liked the new tactical. To each their own. For my Birthday this year I bought a...

    POOR MAN"S M97 Trenchgun

Re: POOR MAN"S M97 Trenchgun Nice job, but, you neglected the fun part, going out there and slam firing the thing lol. Major thing i love about the old Winchester and the Old Ithaca I have is the lack of the trigger disconnect, bang each time you slide the pump forward if holding the trigger
