    yes, I am starting to think the bipod is flexing the stock a little as I see some marks right at the end of the bipod mount on the barrel channel side. I was thinking about just taking 1/16 or so out of the channel with a cnc program.

    yes, fireformed brass. I thought 67 grains would be fine for 7828SSC but I am clearly getting flat primers. Would magnum primers with a somewhat light load cause this? I am sort of stuck as moving in the wrong direction could cause a bigger problem.

    The only reason I mentioned the 165 range is my son is a pretty good shot and finds the kick from the 180gr ammo a little too much. I was hoping to stay around 165 for 3-400yds. If I need to go to 180 then that's fine for me and appreciate the pointers.
