    The PVS30 is rated up to 50BMG. I have put about 110 rounds through my 338LM with the 30 on top with no ill effects. I'm going to bet that you will be fine. reach out to your retailer and pose this questions and ask them about warranty under this use.

    Cake, it was an older Vortex that a friend has. I have to agree with Night Assassin, the S&B 5-25 is awesome with the PVS-30. The Lupey MK6 3-18 also works well with it. I'd like to try it with a Razor HD G2 to see how it works with CNVD

    I have used my '30 with a 1-8X26 Short Dot and it worked better than I would have expected. Even with low mag in the 2-3X range.     I can clearly push the mag up to 18X with my Leupold MK6 and this works. With that said I don't normally run the mag that high due to the decreased FOV. With my PMII 5-25 I can push the magnification a bit higher, maybe 20X, but again I normally find myself down in the 15X range as it is easier...
