    IMR 4064--Berger 175gn tactical .308 load help

    I don't happen to have a Berger manual, but can anyone help me with a starting point? 42gns of IMR 4064 and a 175SMK is the best load I've found for my rifle so far, but I know there's better with Berger. I know I should have asked Bryan Litz when I met him a while back ha. Thanks.

    I shoot mine both wet and dry, I use wire pulling gel most of the time but water once in a while. I shot it today mounted on a nagant revolver and got a slight baffle strike at the end cap which could have been bad but its all good, my local machinist sucks, we will say that.

    I got to mess with all them the good stuff the other week when I was down there, and I do agree this thing has some weight to it, but I wouldn't be afraid to pound a nail in with it if needed. For now I'll stick with my Razor HD gen 1 and when I win the lottery I'll go for the gen two.

    I picked up a Ruger American in .22 MAG this past weekend and was finally able to get to the range today. At 100yds it wasn't pretty. I will have to try different ammo, I was using Remington 40gn stuff. Nice rifles though.

    Haha now if I man up and actually buy the seekins rings (like I should have to begin with) I would agree with you. But I can't say I have full faith in millet and their $60 rings haha. I know I know, I'm basically trying to polish a turd here but with a little work I think they will work fine.

    Please. I need to lap my rings but I can't bring myself to buy a bar just to lap rings once. I don't plan on changing rings or the scope so its going to stay once it's lapped. I will put a deposit down or whatever is needed and I will pay shipping back and forth. Thank you.
