Re: Question from McMillans??
Dick, if you find out you need a Lithgow number1 mark III, let me know. I have one in great shape, wood, metal and action. I'd like to help, both the stocks I got from y'all have been great for me.

Re: 1965 1000 yard national match rifle
If you can do something other than Paypal, I'd get a ticket for the chance of the drawing! Let us know if there will be other options.

Re: M1 Garand typical accuracy?
CMP used to offer a scope mount that clamped on the barrell above and below which replaced the rear upper hand guard. This scout type mount has worked well for me using a Leupold pistol scope. Surprisingly it has held up well and holds zero. It is a big help...
Re: Japanese arisaka parts
Really think hard before you modify it if it is in original condition, especially if the imperial markings have not been ground off. If you modify it the collector value (which has been going up on these) will drop to almost nothing, and as well as the historical...
Re: Vintage Lake City Match ammo value
I am sure you could get a buyer. It would be great for a Vietnam Sniper rifle owner or collector. Sounds like the same ammo used in the model 70's, rem's and even the late used 1903a4s and m1c/d's saw service using this ammo I was told by snipers who...
Re: '03 Mark I , Pedersen Slotted
I have one that is similar. The mark 1 receiver is suppose to be he best of all the '03 versions. The old match shooters and rifle builders really sought these out because of their strength, etc. I do not know the current values for the action, but should...
Re: CMP Wait Time
I stopped by CMP south in Anniston yesterday. The had a better than normal selection of service grade M1's in stock. Also good selection of P-17s. If you are close it is a good opportunity to get a great rifle. Also they had one M1C no scope or mount
Re: POOR MAN"S M97 Trenchgun
Best trench gun conversion I have seen. Thanks for putting in the steps, sources and how you did it, now I want to convert mine!
Re: Vintage 50 yard sniper rifle.
Sometimes the ammo is getting hard to fInd or expensive. cMP has some made in Mexico for all the carbines we gave them. It is good quality and I have had no problems with it.

Re: What rifle is this for?
It may be an M1 carbine bag that looks like a middle section was added to lengthen it for a longer rifle. Any markings?
