    Re: What are my caliber options for the AR-Platform? The 6.8 SPC II is my choice. It can do everything these other rounds can do, and do it with a 16" barrel. If you've had experience with a 270, this is like a 270 short. Take a look over at 6.8 forum, they have a lot of good info over there.

    Re: Scope choice for AR-15 Take a look at the Trijicon TR24G. It does everything good. Like a ACOG, but has the true 1X for up close. The reticule has true daylight illumination and no batteries. My favorite AR scope by far.

    Re: Gun/scope levels....... I've had B-square, U.S.Optics, and Darrell Hollands. All my rifles now carry the Hollands, they are offset - so no losing cheek weld for checking cant. And around a penny less then your budget :grin

    Re: AR15 Gasbuster vs. Gunfighter I have them both, and don't see to much difference other then the price. Never had a problem with either one. Both are a huge improvement over mil spec.
