    16-18 inch shorty rifles

    I have one of these and was thinking of cutting it down to 17 in. Have you noticed any difference in performance? I am also thinking of putting a brake on it, Have been looking at the JP Eliminator or the Miculek brake. One more question what loads are you shooting? Thanks, Travis

    Remington 700 VTR

    Re: Remington 700 VTR I have one in .308 and it shoots real well. I consistantly shoot 3/4 to 1 inch groups at a hundred yards. It would probably shoot better with a better operator behind it. I have mine mounted in an AICS chassis, that made a big difference in the way it shoots.

    Re: AICS stock You don't have to modify the AICS stocks for the Xmark pro trigger. I just took mine out of old stock and dropped it into my 2.0 no problems.
