Tripod and mount for spotting scope recommendations

Price range around $400-500 for the legs and head seems reasonable on the top end. Only spent a thousand for the spotter

Tripod and mount for spotting scope recommendations

Can someone recommend a good set-up for a tripod and head for a new Vortex HD spotter I have on order? Use will probably be about 95% at the shooting range. Very little actual field use planned if ever. Doesn't have to be bargain priced, but not trying to break the bank with carbon fiber...

Sidearms & Scatterguns moving to California

Re: moving to California You can absolutely bring that gun to California if you move there. The only things that you can't have are assault weapons banned by name or feature and pistols with threaded barrels (also sbr's, no silencers, etc). Please refer to calguns.net for any questions on...

Rifle Scopes Which scope to keep?

Re: Which scope to keep? Thanks Keith. Nothing like the riff raff that crowds up Angeles sometimes. I usually go to A Place To Shoot. It's closer, has less people, and those that are there are usually have pretty good range etiquette. The downside is the short range compared to Angeles.

Rifle Scopes Which scope to keep?

Re: Which scope to keep? Thanks for all the advice guys. I have the Tango already, with the 4.5-14 Leupold. Haven't been to the range as much as I'd like. I may have to stop by USO in Brea if I'm ever own in the O.C. Thanks for the advice Keith, if I remember correct from prior postings...

Elderly Japanese Volunteer To Clean Up Radiation

Re: Elderly Japanese Volunteer To Clean Up Radiation People like these and the culture they have built in Japan are why there was no rioting and civil unrest after the earthquake/tsunami. Not like we saw here after Katrina.

    Pimped out 10/22

Re: Pimped out 22 Nice build. I wish we could have suppresses here in California, but I doubt it will ever happen.

is a .22 ethical for small coyotes?

Re: is a .22 ethical for small coyotes? Too bad you are in CA so no suppressor. With all the budget cuts you probably won't get any help from state, local, county agencies. Looks like you might have to handle it yourself. A 22 would a great way to put these Wiley Coyotes down.

Why I hate/don't hate you guys

Re: Why I hate/don't hate you guys I'd like to concur with the OP on this one. I've been recommending this site to others because the amount of knowledge contained within is amazing. I'm on a couple other forums, but this one blows them away as far as long range shooting, reloading...

    What about that Pujols.

Re: What about that Pujols. That' Pujols is a great hitter, but it doesn't make him a great person (i.e. taking his ball and going home after a bad game), but man is he a great hitter. I do agree with post above about serving him up in his wheel house, the Rangers should just pitch around...
