    REM700 PSS 1/12" .308 about 25 years old, less than 50 rounds through it. Using once fired brass from another .308. FL resize to specs and will fit in a Dillon .308 cartridge gauge. Am trying to read a lot about accuracy reloading. Maybe am reading too much.... working up load for F Class...

    I also used some sizing wax on the neck, inside of neck. Also pulled the die and took it apart. Found a ring of brass inside the die, apparently when compressed a piece too hard and it somehow left brass in the die.

    don't forget to lube the inside of the neck a little if your expander is dry...

    Hmmm. This may be a problem with the bump gauge that came with the Whidden die. It looks like the gauge opening touches the neck of the fired case too far down on the sloped part (shoulder). 1.612 is what the base to the sopt on the sloped part that the gauge touches.
