    300wm........338lm

Just finished Bryan Littzs' newest book......YGBSM Currently shooting both calibers; 300wm in a M86 and 338lm in a TRG42. 190smks in the 300 and 300scenars in the 338; there is basically zero comparison between the two. The 300 is a tack driver to 1200yds then turns into a shotgun while the...

Suppressors coping with changes from my cans

If going from a brake to a can; recoil will go up..........you should experience what a can does to a 50BMGs recoil. The titan-qd has a 2moa drop on my trg in 338lm. The 90tooth ratchet isn't perfect and will let it loosen a degree or two after a few shots whch turns the thing into a shotgun...

Anyone using a Lee Collet with a Dillon 650 ? Having some trouble...

You guys are sharp.......very big fan of the collet die; wish they made one for 338LM.

Computer guided tracking and trigger control

May see these things mounted on mobile robotic equipment in the very near future..............................precision drone snipers. Cost will probably come down in the near future as well. This company obviously sees a difference between the 338LM and the 300WM ;)

    Suppressors Painting a Titan-QD

The TRG42 is all black and looks a little off with the brown Titan-QD screwed on the end. Anybody paint one of these? If so; how did it turn out and what paint did you use? Been eye-balling the can of flat black high-temp paint used to touch up the BBQ.

Reloading: The Time vs Cost Saving Equation

Lets hope the new baseline for ammo doesn't go up much when all this crazy buying settles down. I mainly reload 338LM and 50BMG which saves a bunch.....like over $4/rnd. Can load 100rnds of either in a little over 2hrs which includes everything except tumbling. My buddy and I share equipment...

    Retumbo vs US869

869 has some serious temperature variations. The guys shooting at the 50 bmg range keep them in ice coolers full of hand warmers so they stay a nice 120F before shooting. It is not an extreme powder like retumbo, h1000, or varget, etc. It's slower than 50bmg which I have used and while it...

    Suppressors AAC MK13-SD vs TiTan-QD

Don't pay for the can until you have the brakes...............................the support/supply has been very spotty, at best.

    Suppressors 9mm or 45 can?

Get the 45........you will be impressed with how quiet it is on a 45, 40, or 9mm. Put a 9mm can on a 45 and you will be very depressed.

300 win mag loads recipes.. Give em up!

26" M-86, 1:12 twist, 190SMK, 74gr 7828SSC, 215M primer, touching lands, 2900'/s. Cloverleaf at 100yds, lots of varmints over 1000. Next bbl will be 1:10. Seems to be taking a back seat to the 338LM.

Once fired "NT" headstamp .338 Lapua Mag. brass at Grafs

Just received 200 and quite impressed. About 150 were the popped primer type, look like new. Half of the remaining once fired ones had the L stamp, not NT. Anybody looking for Scenar bullets; Euro-Optic has the 300gr ones in stock at $71/box. Burned up 300 of mine last week so 600 are coming...

    190gr to heavy for a 1:12?

Shot thousands of those from my 1:12 M-86...........really the only thing it has shot. Many varmints taken past the 1000yd mark with it. The next bbl will be 1:10 though, the new bullets are just too good to pass up. The 190 VLD type need a little tighter twist.

McMillan Model 86 M86 .308 Win. Information needed.

I had one made for me back in the late 80's. Looks just like yours except it's in 300wm. On it's second bbl and still a tack driver, just wish I'd went with a tighter twist. I think the navy used them for a while in the 90's but not sure. Bet it shoots nice, enjoy it.

    Sako trg-42

My TRG has almost 300rnds down it. Shoots 300gr Scenars and SMKs into a nickle sized hole at 200yds. Can't get the Bergers to print very well so they got some moly spray and will be used for single loaded subsonic shooting. Only had Retumbo, H1000, and 50BMG powder to play with. Didn't buy...
