    DeLane Development Group Rimfire Ventures

There are lots of reasons to buy a Vudoo, the mag sticking out is quite low on my list. There are many times I've used my 5 round, flush mag. I don't see your point that a flush mag is not equal to a PRS setup. I too plan on sticking it inside the same chassis as my match rig, but what's...

I guess, but you've missed the point.

I'm of the same mind set, especially when shooting from the standing position. Holding the rifle along the flat base is critical to stability and a flush mag would be perfect. Besides, 5 rounds is usually what I prefer anyway. I'll be getting one of these, donning a Cadex Field Tactical stock!

    Precision hunting round

Man 308 is hard to beat. You can get close to 2800-2900 with 150 gr or you can go 180 gr and get some serious energy down range. 200 yards is cake for 308. So many people nowadays think 6.5 because they want to hit >1000 once in a while. I don’t get it, but that’s just me. I love 308 and the...

    Sell everything towards AIAX MC?

That is weird. You would think heavier would be better for a humane kill. At leas I feel my heavy rifles shoot better -- though the heavy ones are also my best ;) I spent once but 10K is pretty close to where I came out after the suppressor. I didn't have a huge stable of rifles of this...

Suppressors Question about silencer mirage cover

Not really. If looking through the scope you see a wavy target, then a mirage cover would help. Personally mine doesn't get hot enough to create vapor like my 338 Ultra does. You won't hurt it, just unlikely you'll need one.

AICS or PSR Butt Stock on Accuracy International AT Rifle

I didn't opt for the folding stock as it just seemed mostly pointless, but now I'm wishing I had because the Ax stock would have been worth it for sure.

Superior at what? Superior at distance? Sure. In the ranges you specified, arguably no, especially at closer distances and as a hunting round. Watch a few vids from Lowlight and you'll see 308 is a VERY capable round.

Personally I would do 308 on that budget. Ammo is a bit cheaper, more readily found anywhere and you can touch anything within your specified range with ease. The barrel life is vastly better with 308 as well and I assume you are on a budget because you don't have money to throw away just like...

    Suppressors What suppressor?

Weight feels exactly the same. Specs say differently but I can't tell. Really the only thing bad about the Ultra 338 is that is costs more money. It is noticeably quieter and performs like a dream, just like all other TBAC cans. It also seems to never get really hot on my 308, just warm.

Suppressors Question about Ultra 9 on .22lr

I'd vote to leave your can alone, wait until the fund money jar fills back up and get that RRS setup. A dedicated can is the way to go. I'm in the same boat. Really wanted a revolver I was eyeing or the RRS. I went RRS and OMG it is awesome!!!! Maybe in 6-9 months I'll go back and get the...

Suppressors Dedicated pistol suppressor or do I get the hybrid?

Good plan. Yea deciding 45 vs 9 is harder. I'm 90% 9mm and don't have any 45s (1911) that I want/need to suppress, so for me it was easy to pick 9mm.

Suppressors Dedicated pistol suppressor or do I get the hybrid?

I've not not found a good carbine can that is better than a dedicated pistol. The weight, length and even sometimes performance just makes pistol shooting no fun. I'm not made of money either, but I hate wasting it too. I'd rather axe the carbine idea and get a kickass pistol can, rather than...

Suppressors Can it be done? 1 suppressor for 308/338/6.5

Just as a follow up to this comment. I ended up going with the 338 Ultra as my catch all can. To help justify the extra cash spent on the 338, I compared it to a friends Ultra 9. I shot about 10 rounds each of 308 Federal Siera 175s. The 338 is quieter without question. Size wise they are...

    Suppressors What suppressor?

I went with the 338 Ultra to suppress 6.5 -> 338 do-it-all can. On my AT308...whoa, awesome. That's about all I can say.
