First outing to the range with the TRR - Pics

Re: First outing to the range with the TRR - Pics Congratulations on your new Mark II TTR! I have the Mark II TR, and your're right - great fun to shoot. That looks like a pretty good group with the Wolf MT. I suggest you also try the Wolf ME: with my rifle the MT does well: 0.75-1.00...

Range Report OCW from a new and unfired barrel(500yd update)

Re: OCW test from a new and unfired barrel Thanks for posting your fantastic 500yd results. Your method, to me anyway, seems to combine the strengths of the OCW and ladder approaches. So I could care less what it's called. Looks like it works great. I don't have 500yds available at my...

    Perfect Game

Re: Perfect Game In my opinion, the only other sports feat that would compare would be the Grand Slam in golf (all four majors in a single year). It's never been done; although Tiger Woods's "Tiger Slam" of four majors in a row over two years is as close as anyone is ever likely to come.

    Anybody Golf on here?

Re: Anybody Golf on here? I've played golf most of my life. I'd suggest working on your pre shot routine in a consistent way and practice it enough so that you can't set up to the ball wrong. Things like your stance, distance from ball, ball position, posture, head position, being relaxed...

    Just getting back into shooting.

Re: Just getting back into shooting. Very nice looking rifle, and cool bolt. Welcome back to shooting. I'm really enjoying my Savage Mk II TR 22LR w/the tacticool stock, and am thinking of bedding it. Let us know how your bedding job goes. I have & recommend the Harris bipod: notched legs...

some range data and a few questions

Re: some range data and a few questions Another +1. I suggest you read up on Optimal Charge Weight (OCW) concepts over in the range report forum where there is a lot of discussion about developing accurate loads using both OCW and ladder tests. You can also read more about OCW at...

    Single stage press Kit?

Re: Single stage press Kit? +1 on the Lee Classic turret. I've been using this as a single stage for .223 since May of last year. I'm very satisfied. Got mine (all individual items rather than a kit) at a good price/service from https://fsreloading.com/catalogs/lee-precision/ A pretty...

    Data books

Re: Data books Shooting Voodoo has a pretty good selection of data book pages that you can download for free. http://www.shootingvoodoo.com/index.php/library/data_book_pages/ The combination of information you need to keep track of really depends on your specific approaches to shooting.

Re: Ruger Mk III/2X Barska @ 225 and 300-Yds. Great shooting w/a pistol! I'm just starting to try those distances with a 22LR. It's not that easy, to me.

My TR is back from Savage!

Re: My TR is on it's way back to savage That's much better. Glad you got this resolved. Looks like your group is OK w/o a rear bag. Let us know how your other ammo does. I'd be interested to learn what kind of QC screwup happened to let a "rifle" out the door w/such bad riffling to begin...
