    Both of those scopes look outstanding. Question I have is can you fix the windage and elevation turrets as you repair these? I have two Redfield scopes and none of the reticles move when you move the turrets.

    What is the difference between the Gen1 reticle and the Gen2 reticle? This looks awesome. I want to get this done. Will look great on my M40.

    All I use in my bolt guns is LC both the Match and LR. I haven't had any problems with either of them.

    The M40's were Remington 700. The bottom metal was Remington that was aluminum. When the USMC went to the M40a1 the bottom metal was Winchester M70 that was modified to fit the McMillan stock.

    Rifle Scopes M40A3 rings change. Any one know when the USMC changed ring height?

    That's very interesting scope mount. If I were to guess it would have to be because it went on the SASR. I know that they have higher rings than the a3/a5. TMA was there a box with the higher rings? Maybe try and find a part number and start the search from there.
