    I haven't lost any so far with any of the ones I've built. I do gas mine properly, and use an extended gas system. You might start with a heavier buffer and an adjustable gas block.

    Mine, along with most in the batch, is 22”, +2 gas, 1-7 twist. A couple of customers got 24”.

    Sure. The rifle in front is a DPMS pattern rifle, mostly Aero parts with a barrel I cut. It has a standard A1 buffer tube and stock.

    It’s enough, and more than I typically use unless mirage is really calm. I’ve shot a mile, 1760 yards, with a Nightforce ATACR 4.5-14 without a problem.

    The Aero BCG is HP. A standard firing pin hole is .080, the Aero is .070. Some companies make them down to .062, I don't know the JP size offhand. I use JP bolts in my builds for non-.308 applications, but since you already have it I'd try the Aero to see if there's a problem before replacing...

    I prefer to start with a blank that I don't have to turn down behind the gas block, and only minimally in front of the gas block.
