Rifle Scopes Help: need new scope

Leupold fx2 ...2.5x20... Pretty good glass, usable at first and last light, more than enough for<150 yrds...small footprint,light...sounds just right for that canine and your budget... I have had one on a TC encore muzzle loader for a while and like it a lot... I know Leupold gets a lot of hate...

Rifle Scopes New Optic from Nightforce?

I too was dreaming of a 3-15/4-16 x42 in nightforces line... What a wonderful general purpose scope it would be... Here,in my lowly opinion, nightforce has produced a scope that weighs about the same, takes up about the same footprint as and has the very same huge objective lense as it's tactical...

Thought I would shovel the snow off of this thread and see if anyone is prepping for a new season...I moved down here to Battle Creek recently...some time back,we used to shoot some private land events over in the thumb and once in a while up by Mt Pleasant...it's nice to see there are still...

Rifle Scopes what moa needed for 600yds .308

Same here,15 1/2 to get 600... If your going to use rotary dovetail mounts( 0 taper ),just bed it,mount it,go shoot...no need to shim for <600 yards... If your going to use a pic rail...again,why not buy a 20 min base...it's the same price...maybe down the road you'll stretch your range and want...

Rifle Scopes Budget scope BSA "Tactical Mildot" scope @ (Midway USA) review

By no means am I a hater, nor would I be a user of these... Having said that, I think it's fantastic, that there are scopes out there that can fit most any budget and make people happy... Glad you guys like em!

Rifle Scopes SWFA Super Sniper ?? what power 10,12,or 16 ??

I would nudge you towards the 12x... I spent a couple years using a MK4 16x... Very nice for small targets at distance, but my eyes have been old for a while now...grin! No issues acquiring a target unless your inside a hundred yards or so...and even that becomes less of an issue after getting...

Rifle Scopes Nightforce 2.5-10x42 .... This is what was missing !! :)

As mentioned by other poster's...this scope in 3.5-15,would by my dream scope( within my price range )...but as I am within days of picking up a scope for my lastest rifle,I will call this second best and order one for a mid weight, short barreled,308 bolt gun...I've been using a 5.5-22x50 on a...

    Rifle Scopes badger's scope rings???

It depends on how well your base fits the top of your receiver... If your base is bowed a little in the middle because of improper fit, then your rings will not be in line...in which case, yes lap them... I always at least "rub" my rings with an arbor just to see if they hit even... A properly...

Rifle Scopes Best tracking reliable scope for $1000-$1500

Titanium does not have the resistance to fatigue that a dedicated "spring steel" like 1086 or the likes has...but like everything else, compromises are made to gain other qualities, such as corrosion resistance or weight reduction...in short, titanium makes a worse spring...

Rifle Scopes Best tracking reliable scope for $1000-$1500

All springs will take a set after a period of use...period! Take your valve springs or the coil off of your mono shock on your GX'R...measure them new, then measure them after a year of use...less usable effective range will be the result...I have done work for Danly Die...and we were frequently...

Rifle Scopes Scope power for 16.5" .308

A little gun w/a big scope is no longer a scoped rifle... It has become a high powered observation device with disposition correction capability...grin!

Rifle Scopes Scope power for 16.5" .308

My bad... I was trying to stay on page in reference to the price point of the Burris line... I would love an MK6...but over my pay grade...and yes,I'm curious about the Bushnell, but I would still like a few more X's...but don't give up on me yet...grin,what am I missing under $1500.00 or so???

Rifle Scopes Scope power for 16.5" .308

If your game is occasional steel, deer and hogs... Then like most others here,I would lean to the 2-10x42... But like you,I just picked up the very same rifle and am looking for glass... And just like you,my eyes have gone south...lol! Having said that,I also enjoy smaller targets at...

Rifle Scopes Burris XTR II Rifle Scopes

assuming can be a dicey affair...but as you have done,so will I... It would seem you are young, with lessons to learn...or you are older and did not learn the lessons presented you... I have been dope dialing for 30 years,a large portion of that with VX III's and a turret, then a few MK 4,fixed...

    AR 10 VS M1A EBR

Re: AR 10 VS M1A EBR In the world of compromise we live, and you dismiss ammo commonality, ziptie caliber requirements and supply issues...an AR 15 in 6.5 G,w/ 16 bbl, would fill the bill better than most...lighter,smaller than either of your first choices...enough energy, velocity to get near...
