    I got 2886 fps with the 180 VLD Hunting before I saw a sign of pressure. Very slight ejector mark. It was the hottest load I had at 58.1 grains of N-555. I was targeting 2900 fps by design. (Update - I settled for 2850 fps balancing pressure and accuracy)

    Extraction issue. Need advice.

    Just to note - the pressure increasing under 200 rounds or so could be a result of generally fouling of the barrel. I would expect if cleaning the barrel resolved the heavy bolt lift your barrel may require cleaning every 100-200 rounds since your load was developed on a new cleaner barrel...

    Short headspace?

    Damn,, Sounds like they screwed up twice! How far down does your bolt handle go before it stops on the cartridge when closing? If it is 75+% cloaed I would probably shoot it. I would also make sure I didn't use that smith or company again for prefit barrels.

    Scoped bore today, anything stand out

    White lines look like cotton strands from patches. The white/silver lines along the lands/grooves could be light reflection or cotton the edge. I’ve seen comments about cotton strands in other threads (no pun intended).
