    Oops, pistol fell out of my rifles builds. PS - the Johnny Glock VEX trigger went right in with no adjustment. I gotta a little JG trick with the connector that improves reset feel. Loving it.

    To paint, or not to paint.

    I’ve oven cured all types of stocks including McMillan. You just have to reduce the temp and let it bake longer. Cerakote instructions even state this for various materials.

    Just curious if OP’s chamber was cut with the gen 1 reamer? I called a month or so ago and all his reamers were being reground to new specs. It was to address case sticking and brass life. I suspect since reamers are being reground, this doesn’t help the OP as his chamber is likely larger...

    FYI - black and blue is actually black, PURPLE, and blue. Should have looked much closer at the other pics online. Also, “high gloss” is really glossy in person. I have sprayed matte clear Cerakote over many Manners carbon fiber sticks but wow, the gloss on this thing looks wet.

    Which 7mm for medium action?

    I’m building a “28 TAC” (7-6.5PRC) as an alternative to the 7 SAUM and Sherman cartridges because of brass and propriety. 28 TAC is basically a 0.185” freebore 7-6.5PRC with no-turn neck which puts a Berger 180 Hybrid at ~3.115” OAL. (I would have to check my prints and exact measurements)...

    First bedding job

    Cerakote C-Series, Duracoat or the Duracoat self spray is what I would recommend. The self spray Duracoat should be as easy as Krylon and be more resilient to solvents and chemicals.

    I have several but was planning to try N555 first. F-Class John did some testing on 7-6.5 PRC (7-6.5PRC-3DMP) and was around 2900 fps with 180 Hybrid. The F-class version has more freebore than I wanted so I will give up some case capacity. My dummy rounds are ~3.100”
