    I have a #6 broughton which was their heavier shorter class contour I think. I carry it hunting with no issues. It is every bit as accurate as all of my mtu or m24 tunes.

    My ai reamer uses a 150 freebore. It might be a touch more than most but it works great so far. Primarily running 80gr vld, eld or 75 eld.

    I have a couple of 223ai on custom actions. I run slow an 80gr at 2950fps but it basically duplicates my 6mm match rifle data inside 700ish.

    That's what is nice about matches if you have any close. Even if you don't shoot most guys are more than willing to let you get hands on their setup. The hitch is something I've only ever noticed when dry firing. Behind the gun with live ammo even running it slow I don't notice anything...

    Its normal. It will smooth out the more you use it.

    I'll be honest it's been so long I don't really remember. I do know that mag will run 22 & 6 creed, 6.5x47L, 6mm bra and 7mm in that defiance, a surgeon 591, bighorn tl3 and impact.

    Accurate 300wsm mags. No binder plate 308 mags basically. I did tweak the feed lips a little but not much.

    That same action has barrels in 6mm creed, 6.5x47L and will probably get a 22 creed tube soon.

    I don't have any pics handy but I have a aw cut deviant and have a Ackley cartridge barrel for it. It fed fine if an aics mag was used.

    Primary critter killer all around for myself is this 223ai. I've swapped scopes a few times but that's about it. I do also have a 22 creed barrel for this rifle but it stays the 223 99% of the time. Surgeon 591 dlc coated Mcmillan a3-5 Either a 3-15 premier or s&b pmii glass

    Just use the ole Jacob method. Works on any custom with a shouldered barrel.

    I run an 223ai and will never go without one at this point. It's my go to fun setup for range use and/or hunting. Currently running 80gr eld at 2950fps which duplicates my 6mm bra 110gr load dope out to 650ish.

    223ai is one of my favorite setups. I tend to run what amounts to max 223 loads but the ai does so at a little less pressure. Fire forming loads shoot just as well as formed just a touch slower. I have noticed zero difference in feeding between the two options with the accurate brand mags I've ran.

    My daughter (11yr in pic) is pretty petite and has all but stolen my 223ai/22 creed setup. It is in a mcmillan a3/5 and with all the spacers pulled its just right for her. 21" tube with a 7" can.

    223ai Surgeon 591 thats been dlc coated, 21" 7tw broughton in a McMillan a3-5. Wearing a schmidt in a Hawkins 1 piece mount. It runs 80gr vld at 2950fps.
