    From what I can see, USPSA is by far the king of all prize tables. Companies push each other out of the way to throw products into these matches like they do for no other shooting sport. The ones I shot in were not even major ones and there was at LEAST $10K retail value on the table...

    What size of a target are you trying to RE at what distances? There's a point of diminishing returns involved with this. Go back to the basics: make sure your diopter is focused properly so you get a crisp reticle, and that your parallax is G2G. You should not have any trouble being steady...

    Off the rack gun? I would look through the bore first just to make sure there isn't any kind of obstruction. Then run a tight dry patch or two down it to get any machine oils out that might have been left there. Then - just shoot it. And for as long as it's shooting great, leave the bore...

    I like where it went with 50% science and 50% art. I would say it's 1/3 art, 1/3 science and 1/3 experience. Shooting "out in the wild" you learn to look for wind indicators. Sometimes you have to look harder than you want to, and it's amazing what you find when your original five...

    Chassis VS DBM

    The only thing that makes it a 'comp gun' is the muzzle brake. ;-) I've always preferred a more traditional bolt gun with a McM on it. Not too long ago I set a gun up with a McCree chassis, and I was surprised how easy it was, and how little trouble it offered. The mags lock up in it...
