    Re: Recommended cleaning/ lube for a Hewell? I prefer Coleman Fuel compared to lighter fluid for cleaning trigger groups as the Coleman Fuel is less expensive,is readily available & has rust inhibitors added. For neglected trigger groups I'll spray them with acetone followed by the Coleman Fuel.

    Re: Aluminum replacement firing pins A lighter than stock f/pin w/appropriate mainspring will NOT reduce lock time. Most controlled round feed rifles need all the gimmicks on the market to be a couple milliseconds faster than a flintlock.

    Re: Remington 5R problem. The Timney trigger group is the problem. The mis-fit Timney housing is allowing the sear to drag on the f/pin striker causing your mis-fires. Install the OEM trigger group & your problem with mis-fires will be history.
