    Re: Short barrels If all you have is the barrel then you are OK. If its an AR the actual fire arm is the lower. if its off of a bolt gun the action is the actual fire arm. a lone barrel has no regulation. until you attach it to its receiver and then comply with fed regs.

    Re: DPMS Mini SASS? my 308 sass flat shoots! as good as can be expected from a gas gun! If you cant hit it with a DPMS you can't hit it at all! They are not the cadilac of gas guns but there are a huge list of builders that are far far worse!

    Re: DPMS .260 upper Rifle should be a shootin SOB. I would at minimum put a Vortex on it and would not hesitate at a NF if you had the funds... Get the DPMS lower add a magpul PRS stock stay away from the JP trigger in the SASS lower. it sucks! Its the only thing I hate about mine!

    Re: Nightforce dilema for long range I have a NF 5.5-22X and you range targets on 22X and 99% of my shots are at 22X. The scope is good enough that your targets are always clear at 22X you never have to back it off to get a good picture in the scope... IMO that is why you backoff the mag is...
