Rifle Scopes any true words over this ?

Yes, there are alot of fake scopes floating around, especially leupold.

Rifle Scopes Question about scope base

Did you mean 70MOA of total adjustment? If so, with a 0 MOA base you will have ~35MOA of useable travel. If you put in a 20MOA base you will have around 55MOA of useable travel. I would use a 20 MOA base.

Rifle Scopes Think I have a bad optic :(

Maybe I should have just got the Borka, but I found a used CDI for $50 and went that route.

    Rifle Scopes Zero question???

1/4" higher is a lot higher when your talking about the change in height from the front to the back of a one piece base.

Rifle Scopes Question about scope base

The biggest issue is how much elevation your scope has. Pretty much any scope that is useful for long range shooting will work fine with a 20MOA base. Some scopes have enough elevation built in and you won't need any extra elevation to go to 1000yds. The extra 20moa the base provides won't...

Rifle Scopes Think I have a bad optic :(

What problems were encountered with the wheeler? With the price of the Borka why not move on to something like the CDI 301LDIN?

Rifle Scopes Question about scope base

I use a 20MOA base on my 700 with a Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50 in a set of low rings and it works great. I do use an eagle cheek rest with the factory stock. Whether you need the 20MOA base will depend on your optic and the ranges you intend to shoot. It should not impede your shooting at 100-200...

There is a 5 mil razor for sale on ar15.com for $1600 with rings. Another is for sale at $1675 with rings.

Rifle Scopes AAD triple lug rings

I haven't used them yet. They will probably be used on my next bolt gun though, the design looks really good.

    Rifle Scopes Zero question???

I agree with Dkindels. I would purchase a 1 piece 20 MOA base and go from there. It sounds like something is definitely wrong.

Rifle Scopes scope advice for non 20 moa mount

Hey Jon, are you the owner of AADMounts? If so, do you plan on making 34mm and 35mm triple lug rings? I like the ring designs and I'd like to try them with either the Bushmaster ERS or Vortex Razor sometime. How do you like the glass in the new SS 3-15x42? How are the turrets? My current SS...

Rifle Scopes What about this one?

I have never heard of Lucid before. They seem to taken a lot of styling cues from Nightforce. I wouldn't trust it unless someone else had used it first. For that price you can get a good Vortex Viper.

Rifle Scopes scope advice for non 20 moa mount

I don't think Vortex does, but SWFA does.

    Rhino RA-5R 308

Let us know how yours performs. Have any pictures? I'm looking for another AR-10/DPMS .308 platform to build a .260 or 6.5 Creedmoor from.

Ring suggestions for KAC Mod1 and Vortex 1-4

If your zero moved an inch when it was re-installed then either you did the re-installation wrong or you have a bad mount. Remember that QD mounts should always be pushed forward so the recoil lugs make contact with the rail, then close the QD levers. I would double check the RTZ capability of...

Ring suggestions for KAC Mod1 and Vortex 1-4

I have quite a few Larue QD mounts and I've been happy with them. A big question on mount selection is how you shoot. I shoot nose to charging handle (NTCH). The Vortex has ~4" of eye relief and with a NTCH shooting position I would recommend an extended mount such as the Larue SPR-E, ADM...

Rifle Scopes Need scope ring advice...

I use LT719's on a Larue 20 MOA base on my 700 VTR. My scope is a Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50 so it should be close to the same diameter. The LT719's are .875 to the center line and I don't think you could get much lower.

Rifle Scopes Think I have a bad optic :(

I have a Craftsman, but I think it only goes down to 25in/lb. I think I'm going to pick up the Wheeler.

Rifle Scopes Does this plan make sense?

A word of caution about swapping mount between different rifles. I have quite a few Larue mounts, but I don't swap them between different guns. I have found that the levers need to be adjusted specifically to the rail it is mounted too. I even have two Larue rails (5/8 riser and Remington 700...
