If you were having a .260 built

Re: If you were having a .260 built what 5redman8 said, what are you trying to do with it? If you are going to shot the heavies, I would do a 1-8 twist krieger #10 contour, mcmillan a-5, or AICS stock, I enjoy both but prefer the AICS. premier heritage glass, 20 moa base, shilen trigger. mike

    Russian SV-98

Re: Russian SV-98 well, I'll say it looks interesting, it certainly isnt pretty. I would love to see how it shoots at distance. If your having a hard time getting the special ammo, why dont you just work up a load? It will probably shoot better than the "extra" anyway? mike

Which .300 Win Mag for long-range shooting?

Re: Which .300 Win Mag for long-range shooting? Yes the ten round AI mags do exist, best of luck finding them. I own two and waited awhile to get them. Personally both platforms are excellent but I would go the custom route if I were you, nothing better than picking all your own parts...

    223AI heavy bullets

Re: 223AI heavy bullets well thats the reason that I mention the 1-6.5 because the article I read from the 6mmbr website, the guy says that you dont see people shooting the 90gr bullets because he feels you need the faster 6.5 twist. So my question comes again why are so many people shooting...

    223AI heavy bullets

I'm getting started on a new build, and Im going to do 223AI. After reading through the archives, and doing some other research, Im seeing a very common theme. I'm really only interested in using 75gr-90gr bullets. It seems from reading that the 75gr amax is extremely popular, I'm stalled...

    WTK: 1,520yrds. With 300. WM

Re: WTK: 1,520yrds. With 300. WM I shot my 300WM at just over 1800yrd down at CVT when Vern still had the mountain to go shoot on. It still held sub min. even at that distance. What a thrill that was for me. mike

    Caution...M1A Porn

Re: Caution...M1A Porn I bought the Swan mount, the reason being it keeps its rail closest to the bore of any mount out there. I wasnt planning on using the irons. Mine has been rock solid and has not needed any adjustment. Yes, desert sand color. mike

    Caution...M1A Porn

Re: Caution...M1A Porn You are going to love it, its a really sweet set up. I have basicly the exact same thing going on, I put a krieger barrel on mine, my shoots great all the way to 1000. My only complaint with the JAE stock is that the cheek piece really digs into your cheek. I solved...

    Loading for .300WM - Ideas?

Re: Loading for .300WM - Ideas? definetly use redding comp dies, make sure you set them up right so you bump the shoulder. All the bullets that were mentioned are great, I shoot the 200smk myself, IMR 4350. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 2850fps, at 80deg. Enjoy it, they rock, Ive taken...

    Schneider vs Krieger barrels

Re: Schneider vs Krieger barrels Im going to say what everyone else says here, you cant go wrong with either one, they both make great barrels, I own 4 kriegers right now. I have never owned a schneider but my shooting partner does and it shoots lights out. Regarding LW barrels I have...

MSG90 BUILD FOR FUN ACCURATE SHOOTING *** with pix

Re: MSG90 BUILD FOR FUN ACCURATE SHOOTING These weapon systems beat the hell out of the brass, im not sure you want to work up a load for this weapon since you probably wont be able to use the brass again once its been fired. I might look for a good factory load and be done with it. GMM in...

    .308 Heaviest Bullet

Re: .308 Heaviest Bullet Dust remover, Your getting 2600fps from a 208 out of a 20in barrel? Am I reading that correctly? Now I gotta ask what Chronograph are you using to measure that, and what temp is that? Im not trying to be difficult here, Im just having a hard time swallowing that...

    260AI Lets talk!!

Re: 260AI Lets talk!! Well I'll jump in here again, fire forming for the 260AI is not a waste at all, I shot an F-class comp using virgin fire forming loads and was able to take 2nd place with it. So they will shoot very respectably even when forming. Regarding, necking up 243...

    M1A and AR10

Re: M1A and AR10 every thing that has been said so far is right on the money. If you are going the custom route both weapons should shot sub minute. I would add to LFO1776's post and say the JAE 100G2 is the cats ass for the M1A, it takes away all of the bedding issues that are the real pain...
