Rifle Scopes Trying to get into a cheap scope?

Re: Trying to get into a cheap scope? You've got to be kidding; a lot of my friends are Scout Snipers in the USMC and there IS NOT ONE OF THEM THAT USES THIS SCOPE.

    What stock

Re: What stock Once again; you can't go wrong with a Manners or either the McMillan. And once again the HS Precision is to be polite not a very good stock and customer service is pretty much non existant when you write and ask them why their stock broke after a few hundred rounds. Just my two...

Rifle Scopes SWFA Super Sniper 5-20X50HD

Re: SWFA Super Sniper 5-20X50HD Just called SWFA and they may be availabile for sale by the end of this month; and on top of that I forgot to ask about the price but sent a PM so maybe we'll get a ball park figure soon.

    What stock

Re: What stock To add to my last post on your stock, if you're talking about getting a HS Precision. I had one that came on my Remington 308 and it split at the front sling stud after about 300 rounds. Like one of the other posters said; they're crap! Emailed them a couple of weeks ago and...

    My First AR Build

Re: My First AR Build You can't go wrong with a Krieger barrel but I agree with everyone else on the length and twist rate. 1 in 7.7; 1 in 8 or 1 in 9. The 1 in 12 will really limit the bullets that it will shoot accurately.

    My Savage TR 22lr

Re: My Savage TR 22lr Leupolds are definitely not my thing anymore either, I've been trying to get an elevation dial for M118 LR for over 3 months and they send me something wrong everytime. The scope is great but their customer service has a lot of problems as far as I'm concerned.

Varget in 7/08 seems to be exceptionally dirty

Re: Varget in 7/08 seems to be exceptionally dirty Used Varget a lot back when shooting High Power NRA matches with a AR 15 and it always cleaned up with several patches and Hoppes, I never noticed any heavy build up of carbon from it.

Wolf Match= so so. What to try next?

Re: Wolf Match= so so. What to try next? If you're getting .2 and .3 groups with Wolf with any rifle, you're doing pretty darn good. My thought is that if anything else comes into play then it's shooter error. Come on, no one is perfect.

Gunsmithing compact 308 home shop build

Re: compact 308 home shop build I sure wish I had the tooling and knowledge to do this kind of stuff, that is a really nice rifle and I hope it lives up to your expectations; great post especially with all the pictures,

    Dillon 550

Re: Dillon 550 One more short note like someone else said earlier, the strong mount and extra bullet trays are well worth the money. The strong mount puts the press up higher and easier to work with and is strong as a heck

    Dillon 550

Re: Dillon 550 That's pretty much the same way I do my brass, I clean it, re-size it, clean the primer pockets, tumble it again then prime, charge and seat the bullet. It's worked for me for over 15 years and it's produced some really accurate loads. You can't beat a Dillon and their warranty...

    Atlas problem.

Re: Atlas problem. Awesome; I'm getting one for my new Manners stock when I get it, only about 11 weeks more to wait; tick tock, damn waiting sucks but sometimes it's just worth it. I ordered my stock with the picatinny rail so mounting won't be a problem.

Gunsmithing To bed an action or not

Re: To bed an action or not Sounds like your T4A shoots like a dream, I'm going to be working up a load for 175 SMK's and hope mine does better. It's a dead stock out of the box rifle but what the heck, if it shoots 3/4 or less hopefully I'll be a happy camper. Maybe I'll get it trued up and...

Gunsmithing To bed an action or not

Re: To bed an action or not Don't know if it would help but if Manners got enough request then maybe they would start making the chassis for the SPR. What the heck it wouldn't hurt to ask. I'm down to 11 weeks now and it still seems like it's light years away before getting that baby.

    45 ACP bullets

Re: 45 ACP bullets Thanks for the info, I think I'll give the Berry's a shot either the 185 or 230 round nose's. One thing for sure is that shooting a pistol is a lot cheaper than a long gun just in the cost of powder.
