    45 ACP bullets

Re: 45 ACP bullets Teggy1, do these feed ok in a standard 1911 with no modifications to the gun? One more question, all I have is a Sierra loading manual and I've been using Unique powder for my pistol loads and they work great. Do you have a source of load data without me doing a hours worth...

    45 ACP bullets

Re: 45 ACP bullets That sounds like what I'm looking for, are they jacketed or lead? And like I said before if they ain't round nose they won't run in my pistol. Also where would one buy these rounds? Never mind the last question I just clicked the link, thanks.

SCOOOOOOORRRRREE I just picked up another Leupold

Re: SCOOOOOOORRRRREE I just picked up another Leupold Good luck on getting anything from Leupold that you order, I've been trying to get a simple elevation dial for my Mark4 M3 for the M118 LR ammo for over three months and have a drawer full of the wrong dials that they sent me, they've got...

    45 ACP bullets

Re: 45 ACP bullets I've been looking at the Berry's and all I want from my pistol is to hit center mass at about 10 to 30 feet. My rifles are a different story, I won't dead on accuracy from them. I just started shooting the pistol and really like to just shoot it so accuracy isn't that big...

    45 ACP bullets

Anyone have any suggestion on inexpensive FMJ 230 gr. or 185 gr. round nose bullets for 45 ACP? I've been shooting rifles so long I know what I like but just now getting into pistol and pin point accuracy isn't an issue. My bone stock old 1911 won't feed hollow points but eats round nose just...

    My Savage TR 22lr

Re: My Savage TR 22lr You wouldn't have a nice Night Force good for F Class shooting that you would trade for a like brand new Leupold Mark 4 M3 with some extra elevation dials would you?

What scope are you using on your 22 stick?

Re: What scope are you using on your 22 stick? There's a group buy for SWFA scopes that you get a whole lot of extra's for the same price I paid for my SS 10X42 HD. Go to the Group Buy thread and look for Extensive SWFA-SS Group Buy. Incredible Savings!!! They're really nice scopes and don't...

    My Savage TR 22lr

Re: My Savage TR 22lr Agree with RFtinkerer; wish I just had a really sweet Night Force laying around to put on a 22. But the SS really is sweet on my TR.

Where to buy bulk lapua brass

Re: Where to buy bulk lapua brass Don't quote me on this but I think Lowlight and a few others have posted some promo codes in the forums here for Midway and I think they usually have the brass in stock, just look around and if you find the codes try an order and put in the different codes...

    Dillon 550

Re: Dillon 550 I've been reloading my own ammo for well over 15 years and I do agree that some reloads are pretty cheap these days. That said; I absolutely will not shoot anything reloaded unless I did it myself or it was done by a reputable ammo mfg. (Black Hill's or the like) and here's the...

    Dillon 550

Re: Dillon 550 Like Greg said, I've had mine since the early 90's and it's never missed a beat. Wouldn't trade it for any other press out there. I can't count high enough to know how many rounds of 308 and 223 my blue press has produced.

    My Savage TR 22lr

Re: My Savage TR 22lr I use the Wolf Match Target in my TR and I just can't see any difference in it and the Match Extra, maybe it's just me. Yes it is slippery but I don't think that affects anything except for keeping the bore cleaner.

Gunsmithing To bed an action or not

Re: To bed an action or not Oh yeah that helps; I've got the HS Precision fixed and it will definitely not crack in that area anymore but I just will never have confidence in it anymore. I fixed it myself but I used to do fiber glass work for a living before I started working on jets. I...

Gunsmithing To bed an action or not

Re: To bed an action or not Thanks for the advice, the HS Precision did pretty well I thought till it cracked. I think I'll just drop the action in the Manners and see what it does, I'm like you in thinking thats what it was designed for without any other work. It's just going to be hell...

Gunsmithing To bed an action or not

I've got a new Manners T4 on order with the mini chassis and I'm putting my Remington 700 308 short action in it. The rifle came with a HS Precision composite stock with the aluminum chassis and shot pretty good (3/4 MOA at 100)but the stock cracked at the front sling swivel mount so I opted to...

Re: Recommend a torque wrench Buy a Snap On 1/4 inch drive in inch pounds and you'll have everything you could ever need for a rifle and a whole lot of other mechanical needs.

    Gunsmithing Cerakote vs DuraCoat

Re: Cerakote vs DuraCoat Just to add another plug for Sherwin Williams Polane; if it's good enough for Manners to use on their Stocks then it sure as heck is good enough for me.
