Make sure you go to a beach! My wife is Greek-American, and loves the beach, esp. The Mediterranean and Greek islands. Most Greek Islands have plenty of sights and walking trails, but the thing is really the beach.

Have you ever seen what a mud-dauber wasps will do to a barrel? It isn't pretty. Grease is usually sufficient, but cover or contain it somehow, too.

I wouldn't use any "compound," abrasive, or harsh chemicals, just shoot it, clean it, repeat.
My nitrided POF barrel just needed a little shooting and Hoppes.

Mine works for me, but at a different setting than where it is marked. On a side note, I just noticed that I need glasses for the first time in my 50 years, I am getting fitted in a week.
