    New Kahles K328i

Bummer...sounds like what the guys in the Area 419 video were alluding to as their biggest con with the scope. For the experts out there, would a smaller erector reduce this problem? With this field of view I would think they could get away with this being a 5x erector vs 9x and still compete...

    New Kahles K328i

Kahles doesn't have a street price that I know of so I wanted to list the MSRP for all that I could find to get the best apples-to-apples comparison on that price point. Couldn't find ZCO MSRP so I listed the street price. I marked those as street prices so we could all see them as such and...

    New Kahles K328i

Yeah I'm a FOV whore so this is looking really intriguing to me. Got a Tac Ops Delta 51 .308 inbound and will need a scope for it. Was going to go ZCO 420 or TT 315m but this might be the one for me. Think I'm going to wait until field reports come out after getting hosed for months for my early...

    New Kahles K328i

Pulled this together to see how it stacks up to other Alpha scopes. Couldn't find the total windage and elevation adjustments for the Kahles but aside from the exit pupil the specs fit right in with the others. And the exit pupil is about the same as the March (both on 28x). FOV blows them...

Maggie’s 7.4 Eartquake Hits Japan, 5 Meter Tsunami Expected

I was 10 years old living through it and don't remember specifics but the internet shows the one I was in had an epicenter in Landers and it lasted 2-3 minutes. I remember specifically that it seemed like lasted forever. Didn't think it would ever stop. I had been in some low 6 magnitude quakes...

Maggie’s 7.4 Eartquake Hits Japan, 5 Meter Tsunami Expected

When my family lived in Twentynine Palms, CA we went to visit Big Bear Mountain and woke up to the Landers-Big Bear earthquake of '92. I think it was a 7.2 or 7.3 and that was super scary being a kid and having the earth move like that for so long. Thought the cabin we rented was going to fall...

Texas would hold gold backing the currency

Digital transfer of ownership can be the same as any other medium we use for currency these days. If Fort Knox has x # of gold valued at $1 quadrillion (they can make this number up based on the new valuation of gold) then digitize that value into a blockchain ledger and then buyback all the old...

Texas would hold gold backing the currency

Dang dude this thread is about the gold standard and currency. Why are you even here if that's not something you care to discuss?

Texas would hold gold backing the currency

What's your solution to the fiat currency manipulation of the Fed?

Facebook has better shooters than the hide

I'd follow most of you anywhere, the rest I'd have to lead since I'm sure they'd get lost in a one door hallway. Facebook is gay. Sniper's Hide is less gay. I'll stick with the one with the midget leader who isn't a lizard person. Besides us short people stick together.

    Any original members here?

Feb 2011 for me. Learned everything I know about reloading and long range shooting here. Still putting my canted scope mount on backwards so that should tell you something. Biggest thing I remember was going against everything I was taught as a kid and posting comments about things I knew...

Rifle Scopes March FFP 1.5-15x42 MPVO Review and Comparison (w/ Nightforce and Athlon)

The thickest parts of the DFP reticle "move" toward the center of the reticle as you increase the magnification which is the opposite of an FFP reticle. For example, the DR-TR2B reticle SFP horizontal lines aren't even close to the FFP portion of the reticle but end up at 2.5 mils from center...

Rifle Scopes March FFP 1.5-15x42 MPVO Review and Comparison (w/ Nightforce and Athlon)

Agreed. After seeing the DFP work in the DR-TR2B I've decided for scopes where I plan to spend most of my time on the low end of the magnification range I want DFP. For scopes I plan to spend most of my time in the high end, FFP.

Rifle Scopes March FFP 1.5-15x42 MPVO Review and Comparison (w/ Nightforce and Athlon)

This is a good question and I'm not sure I can pin down the correct answer. The V8 image in low light allows me better identification as it gets darker. That very well could be because the subtensions are thicker and obstruct what I'm looking at when at higher magnification. The subtensions are...

Rifle Scopes March FFP 1.5-15x42 MPVO Review and Comparison (w/ Nightforce and Athlon)

Loving it. My best all around scope. I did however prefer my Zeiss V8 for hunting. Has the edge in low light. Not by much but enough for me to run it solely as my hunting scope.

Rifle Scopes March FFP 1.5-15x42 MPVO Review and Comparison (w/ Nightforce and Athlon)

It's good to hear mine wasn't the only one improved after the swap. I'm considering this scope to maybe, just maybe, be that unicorn I had been searching for most of my adult life. You know the one that sits atop 90% of my rifles. I really can't see anything coming out anytime soon that will...

    Scope Bottomed Out

I was zeroed at 100 yards and could dial up around 33 MOA before topping out.

    Scope Bottomed Out

Don't think so but that would make more sense than anything else I can come up with.
