    Savage Rifles and Aftermarket Stocks/DBM

    I had a MPA chassis for a Savage 10 with bottom bolt release. They mill a slot in the right side of the chassis above the trigger. Use a 1/8 pin or small screwdriver to pull the bolt release rearward. Not that big a deal, but another tool to carry around. Not a lot of options for savage...

    I've got a 2018. I can confirm the strange high rev before shifting annoyance. I've had 4 dating back to 2008. Current one has 36k already, no problems yet. Good resale value too. I also get 23.5 mpg avg highway, 22 in the city.

    why don't more brass mfgs offer 223?

    I bought Starline .223 brass and am on my 2nd loading. From the start I FL sized and deburred the case mouth. Length was within .001. 25.5 gr of Varget under a 75 ELD-M gives me 2920fps, SD of 7. I'd by more for sure.
