What age did you introduce your kids to firearms and how?

My son started hunting with me when he was 4 and started on a BB gun then progressed to a 10/22 and now an AR in 300BO. Got a 224V this past year which will be his long range for for the next few years. Little sister waited until she was 6 but shot the same BB gun and 10/22 and did pretty...

I shot there in December for the first time. Qualification was straightforward (3 shot 1MOA group) and the long range area was nice. Good amount of targets of varying sizes and shapes. I'd love to go back but it's now youth baseball season so much of my free time is spent there. That's what...

Rifle Scopes 3x15 FFP or SFP for hunting

I decided this past weekend that I want a FFP for hunting. I had a coyote trot by at around 270-290 yards. My NF SHV 5-20 has a capped elevation turret, and is SFP. I was on 5X and easily found the coyote through the scope, didn't have time to turn up magnification but had a brain freeze...

Copperhead creek on Hudden Falls land goes to 600 but long range qualification cost $50. Depending on what they have you do, that's pricey.

I'm in Cedar Park, don't have a chrono and the range I shot at is closed (best of the west). I'd be interested in a place where I can shoot further than 300 yards.

Advanced Marksmanship Range in Austin, TX?

Copperhead Creek is just east of Marble Falls and supposedly has steel out to 600. I haven't been there yet. You have to qualify to shoot past 100 according to their website. https://www.copperheadclub.com/prices

Rifle Scopes GAP Deal on Bushnell LRHS Scopes

I went ahead and got another one, it will go on my 300WM. Been real happy with the one on my CTR. The circle in the reticle gets in the way slightly when trying to judge antlers but I love everything else about the scope, especially the cost. had to jump on this one. Will also get the wife a...

Range Report Berger 30 cal 180gr elite hunter ?

I ran them in a 308 last year, my buddies gun and his load, about 2700 fps. I shot 2 matches and my wind calls were similar to the guys shooting 6.5s which was nice as they were my first (and still only) matches. One stage went out to 1000 yards and I managed 4 or 5 hits. May want to try them...

Muzzle brake for Tikka 6.5 creedmoor

Not as well known but does an awesome job, Little Chubby is what I'm running and I'm really happy. There is also a Big Chubby but with the profile of the CTR barrel, I chose the Little Chubby.

New to muzzle brakes and need opinions

I just put the little chubby on my CTR and can see impacts at 200 yds. Hearing protection is a must. I'm now going to thread my 300wm and get a chubby for it, probably little as it's a hunting gun. I met the creator of the big/little chubby. Great guy that is a swat sniper and instructor. It...

The Everyday Sniper Episode 84 Gunwerks AAR

I shot my first match in July in Central Texas and it included a blind stage. Wasn't the most difficult stage in my opinion but wasn't easy by any means. I enjoyed it and my squad did good by not giving away any part of the positions. We could see the targets and could tell that the weren't...
