    Rifle Scopes Full day with the Vortex 4.5-27x - Initial Impressions

    What's the rationale behind the weight of this thing? I mean, is there a reason it has to be so weighty as opposed to shaving 6-10 ounces off of it? Just trying to figure out why vortex is going in the same direction when Steiner and others seem to be scaling back on the weight a bit.

    Carhart is making some nice, lite cargo pants as well. They seem to hold up well, also. Hated all the 5.11 pants I had.

    Yeah I do. Have it on a RECCE .223 build. Green firedot is really bright and has a nice shut-off/turn on feature. Knob click is very positive and glass is clear. Best feature is it's ultralight. I was shooting steel out to 450 yds with it and will buy another one. Mine's in an ADM recon...

    Shot timers?

    CED 7000. I like it but what I hate about it is having to flip it up to see the readout. I'd get the pocket pro II if I were buying again. Simple to use and you can look down to read it without having to adjust it.

    Help me spend money at cabelas

    Cabelas tumbler kit is great. Gives you the tumbler, media, and brass/media separator. Hinges are kinds flimsy but it doesn't matter. Works great and I've been using mine for high volume brass prep for the last several years. if or when it goes out i'll get the same for replacement. Good value.
