    .243 Win Advice?

    Before I sold mine the only real work up I did was with 105 amax and 105 Scenar in Lapua brass with both BR2 and GM210M. Both shot .5" moa fairly easy with H1000 and H100V. The berger 88FBLD did very well with H100v also.

    I have shot lapua 308win palma as well as 6.5x47 and 6.5 CM all with cci 450 in freezing and below zero temps and have never had any ignition issues.

    Handguard too long

    I don't see why it wouldn't work although not ideal. At a minimum I would have it dialed in and indicated to verify the runout was near zero both with and without the suppressor. It would be a shame to damage a $1000 suppressor using a $30 part.

    How much and how long does it take for a gun smith to chamber a custom barrel for an action?

    My current 6.5CM barrel was done by Kelblys, from ship to return was less than 4 weeks from what I recall with no rush added. But I'm sure it's all based on work load at the time they recieve it.
