    What exactly are you intending to do with this? How do you mount and interface with the gun? Is the cheekpiece a requirement? Do you need an adjustable height cheekpiece? The Lancer type setup could work if you don't shoot nose to charging handle like some prefer.

    I hate you because I'm jealous. I want that buttstock. I wonder when Lancer will make it available as an individual part. I'm happy to see it out in the wild in a consumer's arms, even if it is on a complete build. That is one fine looking shooter.

    It will not work with the cheekpiece. It actually doesn't really work without the cheekpiece either. The attachment clamp on the buffer tube interferes with the charging handle. You can set it far back enough so it doesn't interfere which it looks like Lancer did.

    +1 Hornady 168gr Amax is even better than the 168gr FGMM. Both are well within sub-MOA for 5-shot groups. This is with a JP-built LR-308.

    Best bet is to ship it to CA in a compliant configuration. Usually a bullet button is all it takes. If you don't ship it in compliant configuration then the CA FFL would need the necessary licensing to accept it in non-compliant configuration.
