Rifle Scopes Who's really making what for who!?

what does it matter in the long run? nothing.. and everything... If they started churning out your darling PMII exclusively in the "Great Peoples Republic" and still charging 5-7k for it, would sales drop off? Go ahead and replace that badge right on the top where everyone can see "Made In...

    Accuracy of a SCAR 16?

If you are mechanically inclined at all the factory trigger can be smoothed out to make a very smooth clean crisp break. It's a little trickier cause you have the two steel sheet retainers on each side but not so bad really.

Rifle Scopes new gun, new scope, new problems

Oh yes Billy I own one. A Henny ZF 4-16 FF. Great eyebox as everyone knows I do wish it had the NH1 reticle tho as the MD is too heavy at hi mag.

Rifle Scopes new gun, new scope, new problems

How can two scopes with the same exit pupil have massively diff eye-box? your side to side + up and down degree of positioning are both going to be the same, once your eye's pupil meets the ocular EP your view stops there. Unless the front to rear of the eyebox positioning is playing a huge factor.

F/L Sizing Reveal a Bad Chamber Job?

I asked the same thing ^^. I would also add to that is it seen on once fired brass of different make or from different mfr. it could be the brass itself

    Accuracy of a SCAR 16?

I had a SCAR 16 and it really wasn't that impressive as far as accuracy goes. It really wasn't designed as a long range extreme precision shooter especially with that pencil thin barrel. The SCAR 16 is a battle rifle plain and simple. There is a company that makes a heavy barrel upgrade for it...

F/L Sizing Reveal a Bad Chamber Job?

Does the line appear on fresh brass after 1 firing or only after it's sized? A chamber that is cut without dialing in the indicators VERY accurately results in a wallowed out chamber it would likely blow the brass out to an abnormally large shape especially in the lower half of the case which...

Rifle Scopes new gun, new scope, new problems

Where in the world did the term "eye box" come from? It's called an exit pupil. Come back about 2 feet from the ocular and raise and lower the magnification you can actually see the exit pupil grow and shrink as a circle of image surrounded by black.

Rifle Scopes new gun, new scope, new problems

I had a Viper and wasn't at all impressed. If you are looking for a "fair clarity" lower end optic SWFA SS and Bushnell ET are pretty hard to beat. And like the above ^^^ I have heard good about the Burris offerings. Magnification is useless without resolution. So any "lower end" optic above...

Rifle Scopes new gun, new scope, new problems

On those lower end scopes when you zoom in you are actually zooming into any imperfections in the glass and it's design. This is what you are paying for when drop cash on higher and higher end optics. You are paying for the superior lens materials, the more complicated design and the tighter...

Rifle Scopes Bought a S&B and Im not wow'd

Yes that does make perfect sense. An air rifle is infinitely more susceptible to drop and drift as it's velocity and projectile weight are lower than a propellant driven weapon

Dude, I just used that as an example of reticles being subjective for each individual and his application for it. It was just as a reference, and you really just proved my point... A Horus may work great on an air rifle for all I know. Good job on your win BTW
