Rifle Scopes March 5-42 Gen 2 PRS Edition

It's funny when you get older MDs like Paul Dallin at the Nut Crusher do a tree only stage in high wind, or a free hand stage, just to screw with us folks who got into it after it transitioned to "Barricade Benchrest". Many profanities get raised, and a lot of shooters' feelings get hurt. If you...

Rifle Scopes March 5-42 Gen 2 PRS Edition

Ok, I've been seeing a lot of hype, and figured we were talking about yet another FML-MT/TR variant with Arken-style-center reticle and I was not interested at all. Eurooptic needs to put some reticle pictures in their March offerings, because yeah, the FML-WBR actually looks great for PRS...

US Optics new X series scopes

It sucks to admit, but I think the ED glass in the Chinese Ares ETR was better than the Cronus. China sucks, but they're putting out higher and higher quality stuff lately. Sucks that it's cheap enough to steal market share.

US Optics new X series scopes

Well, I guess I take it back, the CMT and CMS look ok. The EMCR2 is mind boggling though. What do all the marks mean? Is it MOA and MRAD combined? Is it .1 if it's on the right side of an MRAD line, and .3 if it's not, and .5 if it's somewhere near the middle? I'm just... How could you have the...

US Optics new X series scopes

They're absolutely made in China. And with USO's worst possible lineup of reticles. I love their American made stuff, but wow, where's the JVCR in the X-Series????

2025 Nightforce elr steel challenge & Krg extreme

I get that. But if your barrel life is 1000 rounds and you factor in break in time, and load development, a lot of guys steer clear of improved cases. You essentially have to do load development twice. I personally would prefer the improved version, but to each their own.

2025 Nightforce elr steel challenge & Krg extreme

Probably because you'll use 10% or more of the barrel life just for forming, is my guess. 20% is you're needing 200 pieces of brass.

Rifle Scopes Blinded, Randomized scope testing

I have bad eyes. People go on about how night and day difference going from an ATACR to a ZCO/Tangent was, and I can't see a difference. Being a glasses wearer, I'm so used to aberrations show up on my periphery or the horizon that I just don't care about CA like some people do. It might be...

    I Spy New Baby Razor G3 4-24

I don't think Vortex would be guilty of it, but it's kind of surprising how many modern reticles still have .5 and 1 marks only on the Y axis. Kahles and Leica come to mind readily.

    New CHAD clone from Preece.

The only similarities I see is that they're welded together, similar size, and same number of ports. BJ's ports are completely different, have steeper baffles, and has a tuner built in.

Vortex RazorHD Gen III 6-36x56 vs NF ATACR 7-35x56

These pop up on the px semi frequently. More so a couple years ago. 30% off map is right in the $2200ish range

    Tariff effects on imported optics

You can buy USO FDN series or the XTR Pro I guess. Even then, I'm pretty sure they're getting lenses and reticles from OEMs outside the USA. Nightforce ATACRs based out of Idaho, but using parts from Japan, I think. Same with the Razor. Not sure about Leupold, but I suspect it's a lot of the same.

    Tariff effects on imported optics

Because we didn't tolerate Vortex's MSRP and consequent street prices increases last year, or ZCO's increases, or 30% chassis price increases since 2021, Powder prices jumping 25%, etc.? If everyone has to raise prices, there's nowhere else to take your business. You will tolerate it, because...

Vortex RazorHD Gen III 6-36x56 vs NF ATACR 7-35x56

You just described things that matter to some people a lot more than "clarity". I use Nightforce and USO over zco, tangent, and vortex, specifically because of reticle choice.

Vortex RazorHD Gen III 6-36x56 vs NF ATACR 7-35x56

I've seen two Theos in the PX over the last week around $2k.

Vortex RazorHD Gen III 6-36x56 vs NF ATACR 7-35x56

OK, for sanity's sake I went back and checked a couple of those videos, and I stand corrected. Area 419's video called it a "Three thousand dollar tangent that's not as pretty", not a $2k Tangent. Covertnoob called it a $2500 scope. I can't remember what DLO had to say about it, because, I'm not...

Awesome suppressor muzzle brake front end attachment by Recoilx

Just bought a Hyperion - hoping one of these gets made to go with it!

I'm not counting on it, but I'd love to see it, if investors and consumers are willing to bet with their cash.

    Tariff effects on imported optics

I wouldn't mind seeing the Greeley and North Carolina, Oregon, and Idaho optics companies getting more into an OEM role

Vortex RazorHD Gen III 6-36x56 vs NF ATACR 7-35x56

When it launched, it was standard to get one for $2100. Rare is the guy that's buying Nightforce, vortex, Leupold, USO, etc for regular pricing. Everyone knows what the mil/leo or cert prices are. The used prices on all of these is reflected. On launch, every video on it talked about it being...
