    Do I need 18 or 28 MOA on the base to get an S&B 3-12x MTC out to 1K. Rifle (308) needs 13.5 MIL to get to 1K, center of scope is 3in over bore. Zero will be 100Y, and shooting won't exceed 1K. Thanks

    Re: You guys have ruined scope mounting for me Business cards under the scope body to replicate feeler gauges, tighten down scope rings to 5lbs, remove cards, tighten rest of way. Verify with a plumb line on the range. 15-20 minutes. Has been working to 1K for me.

    Re: S&B PMII or Nightforce F1? If you don't go Premier, and go S&B-- You will want a canted based for the 4-16x to reach 1K--go with the 28MOA AI mount. With factory 175s, you are probably going to need between 10.5-11.5 MILs elevation at 1K with factory ammo. I can't speak to the NF F1.
