Hearing protection active muffs in 2025

Sordin Supreme Pro SFA 32db with the gel cups. I wore mine all day at the range and never took them off. Best money ever spent for the shooting sports.

    Getting started on a budget...

If you haven't already discovered, guys here are really good at spending other guys money. A Rockchucker is a good press. You can spend more but not necessarily buy better. Don't bother with a case eject thingy. L-N-L bushings to me are a solution to a nonexistent problem. An annealer may give...

Maggie’s Funny & awesome pics, vids and memes thread (work safe, no nudity)

The RV alone was about $150,000 new. I know, I have one by the same manufacturer.

Rifle Scopes Lightest midrange hunting scopes

I have an earlier Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14 that has been on maybe 6 different rifles. It has a simple plex reticle but it's bright, clear and tracks repeatedly. I'd buy another over a Leupold in the same zoom range albeit with a more modern reticle.

Quick question for the "watch guys" on the Hide here...

My Seamaster runs about a minute or so slow per month. A watchmaker friend says that's good to go. He wears a Hamilton btw......

    DO NOT LOSE YOUR CARD!

An ATM ate my debit card, seized it, in Istanbul Turkey in August of this year. Didn't have access to cash for nearly 3 weeks. Talk about a Pia.

DNT is gonna let us do a reticle

I cannot see those floating dots without a struggle. But that's me. I'd like the dots you show at .2, , .4, .6 for wind on the tree as the center dot. Those I can see.

DNT is gonna let us do a reticle

The floating dot needs to be large enough to actually see at all magnifications. That's the biggest issue for me with all tree reticles for the most part and what I least like about my Razor GIII 6-36 is the dot is too small to see well at any magnification.

choosing a bullet for 6 creed

I have 2-6CM's, a GA Precision w/Bartlein barrel and an RPR with a White Oak Wilson barrel. The Berger 108 is what I mostly use as it shoots very well and is more often in stock compared to the 105. The Sierra 107 shoots just as well and when in stock is less expensive than the Berger. Just for...

Conflicting reccomendations about break in and cleaning routine

I'm in the just shoot it camp. Life is too short to waste time and ammo on some arbitrary break-in procedure. Get your zero, which is going to change anyway, shoot what you're going to shoot, go home and clean it. "Break-in" is done.

    Snow-pocolypse 2025

It's actually a violation of 49CFR to not be able to speak, read and understand the English language

    Snow-pocolypse 2025

Don't know about Louisiana but the entire state of Florida has 11 plows. It's 365 miles from Pensacola to Jacksonville. That's a lot of work for 11 plow drivers.

Cabelas Covenant 7 vs Arken Ep5

I have an EP5 & a Viper PST GII 5-25. My eyes say the Viper has better glass. I like the reticle better in the Viper but I see the center dot better in the EP5. I also prefer the illumination in the Viper as well as the lighter weight. The Viper is on a CZ457 & the size and weight are better...

Guns and Ammo magazine, page 31 line 1, "RL26 isn't for sale publicly anymore, and it appears that it isn't being sold to another ammunition manufacturer besides Federal." Tom Beckstrand

    Who "scares" you the most???

The EPA. They can shut down your range. They can determine what ammo you can shoot. They can say where you can (can't) shoot or hunt. They can determine what gunpowder you can use. They can regulate how much noise you can generate. The list is endless it seems.

    Tammy Duckworth Lays Into Hegseth

Standards. I've been bitching about them for too long. As a 50+ year old trooper I had to pass our annual fitness test at a higher level than a 21 year old female right out of the Academy. I had to run faster, lift a greater percentage of weight, more sit-ups...... I don't know what the military...
