Why the Controversey over Creedmoor 6.5?

If your only goal is defending your home from targets that might shoot back, you should be looking at semi autos. Inside of 800yards I’d take my 18” 5.56 spr before I grabbed a bolt gun in any caliber. Fire rate and being “accurate enough” is what’s going to matter. Bad guys aren’t going to be...

Range Report Berger 144-gr Long Range Hybrid

I’m early into the load development for these, but this is 3rds from my ladder test at 300 yards. 42.0gr (2798fps), 42.2gr (2787fps), 42.4gr (2805), respectively. RL16, gm205, 144gr lrht, 1x fired Lapua brass. These were seated 2.116” b-o, I just used the same die setting as I use for the 140gr...

Black Hills 5.56mm 77 Grain Tipped MatchKing Ammunition

One of my favorite loads, and bullets. They’re running ~2773 out of my 18” Larue stealth. POI has always been identical to the SMK too. Absolutely potent on deer with a boiler room shot. Not always a big exit, but it vaporizes the heart and lungs. I’ve never had one go more than 25yards in 10+ deer.

Ultimatum Deadline - why aren't more people building on this?

The whiskey 3 will bolt up just fine, only need to trim the catch. By extension I would assume the X-ray and bravo as well but don’t quote me on that I only have a W3.

    “Gun room” organization

Inspired by the area419 cleaning rod holder I’m about to purchase, because I have too much stuff to keep organized: How do you keep all of your shooting gear, cleaning stuff, ammo, etc organized? Any tip/tricks/products to look at?

Looking for feedback on Ultimatum Actions

I have a deadline I built up in 6.5cm, about 300 rounds through it so far, and at least 4x as many dry fires. I really like the action so far. Quality has been exceptional, all of the features have worked 100%, and dropped into a whiskey 3 chassis all I had to do was trim the mag catch a little...

Suppressors Q Cherry Bomb stuck in Bottle Rocket

Ayup, Rockset/red loctite method works. Q went through the trouble of putting a 1/2” nut on the end to torque it on, would’ve been slick to see the same thing on the back for a situation like this.

    New Kestrel® HUD and Kestrel® Ballistics 2700

Fell apart kinda like a cookie when I turned it over in my hand lol. It’s hard to tell from the pics, but some areas it split completely smoothly and others the surfaces are jagged. All the little pieces you see fell just as they are too, I didn’t pick at it or anything. I don’t know any more...

Marines looking to replace MK13 Mod 7 already?

I saw at SHOT Barrett had MRADs coming from the factory with PROOF barrels, apparently for a DOD contract or something. That was pretty neat.

    New Kestrel® HUD and Kestrel® Ballistics 2700

Got the HUD in today, I don’t know how long my preorder was. The whole unit seems pretty badass. The HUD Paired easily and the features seem super slick, I especially like the stage timer. The only problem I had, is the plastic holder that goes around the HUD crumbled apart in my hand where the...

    AR10 Stock Recommendation Needed

Wow that was a lot of vague back and forth posting to determine that the law folder and SCS don’t in fact work together without modification.

    Action choice for prs

If you’re still looking for actions I love my ultimatum deadline. Not sure how they play with MPA chassis though.

PRS Rifle advice sought (with requirements)

It’ll be right on their website, they just came out for SHOT, I imagine they’ll be up on their website within a week or two, but you can email them to ask specifics, maybe they’ll put him on a list to get some of the first ones. I have one of their deadline actions, their CS is really good and...

    AR10 Stock Recommendation Needed

My dad has a magpul gen3, super solid and I love the feature set, but I’m 5’7”, and the LOP is about 3/4” too long even with it all the way collapsed. Just something to keep in mind.
