    Why don't you lobby congress members to get some of these snipers trained to US mil standards by US mil trainers/contractors. Also looks like somebody is ripping them off by making useless scope mounts and Chinese scopes. Surely they can get DSarms etc to make a large number of FAL scope mounts...

    you can also use a plumb line at 100m. Shoot one round at a marked point and then adjust 6 or so mils up and fire again. The two shots should be in line with the plumb line.

    thanks for the info guys. Its an orginal Winchester with a camouflage pattern fibreglass stock. Really just want a good reliable shooter for anytime, anywhere. I find the AR10 surgically accurate but very picky, and prone to jamming. Crazy mind, always wanting more gear.

    have an opportunity to get a USGI M14 with fibre stock. Is it capable of getting 1moa at 800m ? Can it handle hi pressure reloads ? What is the best scope mounting options ? Am I better off with an AR10 ? No NFA flames please. This deal is all legit.

    I have an AI AWSM 338 with the non CIP length mag ( 3.625"), that I want to get rebarreled as the barrel is quite eroded. Which is the best twist to get for this system ? Stick with 1:11 , or go for 1:10 or 1:9.375 ? I'm intending to stick with the 250 grain bullets due to lack of seating...

    I just measured my AW magazine. It is only 3.625 inches so a cartridge with 3.68 COAL will not fit.

    I already have an AW 338 rifle and absolutely love it ! I've only taken it to 1000m though but it shoots amazingly with both 250 and 300 grain projectiles. Now this sick mind of mine is debating whether to get an AX rifle. Just have this sniggering feeling that I can get even better...

    but I've actually shot my 300 grainers and the limiting factor in accuracy is me because of the increased recoil compared to 250 grainers.

    Re: Schmidt bender PM 2 help I think mr Basra is either being elitist or has other issues. The S&B scope is totally different operations compared to Leupolds etc A bit of straight advice instead of ridicule could have saved me time and luckily I didn't damage the scope.
