    Armalite decisions

Re: Armalite decisions I'll start off saying I'm assuming you bought the AR-10B model that uses the M14 style magazines. The ArmaLite GenI mags were a legal high capacity mag during the ban, the reason they went with those mags. They are still legal in ban states. The Gen II mags are high...

    Realistic max range for a 2.5x 1903/A4?

Re: Realistic max range for a 2.5x 1903/A4? Shooting at paper you can do any range you want. In actual use during war2 and Korea, Brit and GI snipers would limit the shots to the 300-400yd area. This is with equipment of the day, 2.5-3.5X scopes.

    Rifle Scopes Burris xtr rings

Re: Burris xtr rings Have had a set on a M14 for years, no problems, no marks on the scope tubes. It's nice to remove a scope after two or three years and not have any, or very little sign of mounting.

    MOJO Peep Sights

Re: MOJO Peep Sights MoJo is well worth the money. I added the MoJo front aperture to the rear I have been using. This double aperture works really well with my eye sight. I can focus on the target and the two aperture just naturally line up. The front has different size screw-in inserts...

    Military Firearms collection

Re: Military Firearms collection I normally pick a 'era' or war, also by country. You can collect by type. You well be surprised how fast the collection builds. According to my latest inventory I have 167 fire arms and 47 percussion cap (non)fire arms. Just one at a time and over a period...

    Questions about an Enfield NO.4 MK.1 T

Re: Questions about an Enfield NO.4 MK.1 T Those book values are really low. The Mk3 scope is a plus, mount is numbered to the receiver. Many of the T's have miss matched mounts and scopes. The Butt appears to be a field replacement. Even with the mismatched wood I bet it would bring...

Re: Enfields! Did some one say Enfield? My favorite mil-surp. I ran across 600rds of 1960 RG yesterday, cheap, my lucky day. I well do even more mil-surp shots this year. Part of my meager accumulation. Early Savage with standard bolt release and early cocking piece. How to save a...

    Springfield 1903 Restoration Project

Re: Springfield 1903 Restoration Project Evil bay has a great selection of 1903 parts. You can actually see the part you are buying unlike a lot of parts venders. That can be important if you are trying to match patina. I'm looking for a 28 vintage SA bolt myself, good luck finding one...
