    One issue to be aware of is choosing a powder that burns completely in the barrel before the can. Otherwise you will be cleaning based on the can and not the rifle. This will likely be the faster powders and unfortunately the ones with the lower velocities.

    I am suspicious about how you set your headspace on the barrel. IF you used an unfired case ( and tape) to set your headspace then you really don't know if you have set it correctly.
