Hunting & Fishing Spot Lighting Yotes

Re: Spot Lighting Yotes Please be sure of what you are shooting at. A guy on another web site "claimed" that he could tell wheather it was a coyote or a cow just from the reflection of the eyes. I'll leave to your imagination just how full of it I think he is.

selling reloading supplies at flea markets?

Re: selling reloading supplies at flea markets? While on this subject; what about the people that are buying large quantities of ammo and reselling at gun shows? From what bohem says above they just need to have BATF find out to get arrested.

    primer shortage solution ??

Re: primer shortage solution ?? For those that are really interested the entire manual is available on line. This method of reusing a primer was never intended to be anything but an absolute worst case to keep the person in ammo. I wouldn't even try it if there was any other choice.

Hunting & Fishing Tactical rifle as primary hunting rifle?

Re: Tactical rifle as primary hunting rifle? One of the best rifles I have got sold to me because the previous owner decided that he didn't want to try going up and down the hills around here with it for a second year. He decided that 12 pounds was a little much for a deer rifle. I agree but...

what do you think of bore snakes?

Re: what do you think of bore snakes? Considering the number of post there have been on here that concern boresnakes that broke in the barrel I won't have one as a gift. For light duty they might be alright, but you can't get around the fact they break.

Tumbling loaded rounds to clean sizing lubricant

Re: Tumbling loaded rounds to clean sizing lubricant After the brass is sized is when I tumble it. As for the media in the primer pocket and flash hole, I use a depriming pin from a Lee Loader to clean it out. I don't KNOW if there is a real chance of detonation in a tumbler but I do think...

    Gunsmithing Stock inleting

Re: Stock inleting Get a good book on gunsmithing or stockmaking and start reading. It isn't that hard but some reading will help. At different points in the process you will need 1. a drill press 2. a router, 3. 1/4 wood chisel 4. wood rasp and a some type of stockmakers vise. Also masking...

    gunshop screwing people

Re: gunshop screwing people Some places are willing to deal if you can point to a reason, others won't under any circumstances. You just found one of the latter. Customer; "Handlyling marks"= not new, at least as far as I am concerned. Manager: Takes 2 years to sell it? I wouldn't order...

    Gunsmithing barrel breakin

Re: barrel breakin I've only tried "breaking in" one rifle so far. Now all I have to do is get another 5000 rounds shoot through it to tell if it was worth the trouble. In order to really tell if it makes a difference a person would have to start with 2 rifles, break-in one but not the...

    $30 a brick primers

Re: $30 a brick primers You did the right thing. Some people will try anything at least once. Some of them learn not to do it again and some don't, but it will always be their problem.
