Re: Differences shooting gas versus bolt guns?
Alrighty...I turned the video clip into an animated gif with the frame advance slowed way down. You should be able to see the timing well enough.
Warning: the file is a good sized one (5meg) so give it some time to load before it starts animating.
Re: Differences shooting gas versus bolt guns?
I don't have a dog in this fight, but I do play with high speed video on occasion. I also play with AR's quite a bit, though I haven't thought of combining the two until reading through this.
I used a shortcut and found a decent high speed...
Re: creative taping and stock texturing
Here's what I did on a rifle for my almost 80yr old dad. Marine tex, waited until it set up a little bit. No filler.
I can't figure out why he doesn't reach for this rifle first though.

...so you invested time and energy into painting your stock and barrel, but you're reluctant to invest in $10 of bedding compound and an afternoon to bed your existing stock because you think you'll be dumping it?
Re: Looking for a Remington 20X Rifle Scope
I've got a few of the Remington Scopes. They're not exactly a match for a 40X Rimfire USMC type rifle. They were designed as Bench Rest scopes. They're much shorter than Unertl's.
I don't think very many came with the return springs. It's been...
Re: Bolt guns faster than semi in rapid fire comps
We could continue to put conditional statements out there to make what we want true. For instance, I could say the gas gun has won most of the recent highpower championships. (recent meaning within the last 3 years).
But that probably has...

Re: Question on finding NPA in sitting and prone...
To adjust your NPOA sitting, use your butt as a pivot and move your feet slightly clockwise or counterclockwise. I shoot a cross ankle and for big changes, I will dismount the rifle, put my right hand on the ground and lift my butt slightly...

Re: Bolt guns faster than semi in rapid fire comps
In seems the context originally laid out by the OP is "Stang". The stage shown in the beginning seems to be "number of hits in a fixed time of 25 seconds"... I don't speak Norweigen, and don't know the exact course of fire in "stang", but...
Re: Bolt guns faster than semi in rapid fire comps
Here's some NTIT (Rattle Battle) video. AR's shooting 40 rounds in a 50 second time limit (they actually finish in about 45 in the video), 600yards.
