Suppressors Can it be done? 1 suppressor for 308/338/6.5

The 338 Ultra does amazing things for the larger calibers. Almost hard to believe that it could take the 338LM down so much. 317millhand was great to work with on purchasing, and would certainly recommend him if you are looking to make a purchase.

    Sell everything for AIAX MC?

With the ballistic programs on the market now, it is quite simple to input your values for each combination and go. With the DTA the return to zero is excellent, and using Trasol, I have adjusted zeros for each caliber and load combination. Very simple and repeatable, but yes, you do have to...

    6.5 Creedmoor barrel length.

There is another study looking at barrel pressure versus velocity on different barrel lengths of 5.56- M855 ammunition and showed similar results where velocity can be observed to fluctuate over different lengths and not display a consistently upward trend relative to increasing length...

    6.5 Creedmoor barrel length.

Someone did a limited test of cutting down a barrel to observe the velocity changes. That you might find to be helpful. http://rifleshooter.com/2016/02/6-5-creedmoor-effect-of-barrel-length-on-velocity-cutting-up-a-creedmoor/ As has been said though, different barrels have different...

    HSM Ammo

Sorry for being so general. What I experienced was subpar accuracy and sticky case ejection- I don't recall what the velocity was, but it didn't seem like it was running hot based on other hunting loads I was testing. I had just had LRI accurize and rebarrel an R700, so the chamber is solid. I...

    Gun Safe recommendations

If you have a lot of time to read forum posts, The Safe Guy (who works for AMSEC) goes into a lot of detail about safe properties and what differentiates them. You can draw your own conclusions based on your research, but the arguments he presents made a lot of sense to me, and when I invest in...

    HSM Ammo

The 223/5.56 ammo ran well and was very accurate, but the 30-06 hunting ammo was not good. Didn't get the 30-06 through SC, but the 223 came from there.

Building First Custom Rifle... Opinions Please

Luckily there are many smiths out there now who seem to be doing great work. As others have said, LRI has got to be the quickest smith out there and do great work. It is probably a good time to ask if a higher end production rifle like the AI or Desert Tech is something you would want to...

Even though it isn't exactly what I had in my head, it will still be useful and is a slick design for what it is doing. This actually alleviates the issue of having a strap go across the top of your barrel if you don't have a full hand guard. Knocks off one negative of the AI AT from the AXMC

Bushnell 1 mile, Zeiss PRF or Leica crf 1000 r

Been getting good results out to 1000 yards with the Bushnell 1600's and if you can get the one of the Mile's for $500, that is a killer deal. My binos have a bluish tint which is a little annoying, and they aren't perfect with getting reads from everything, however they were also under $800...

Training Courses Snipershide/T3 2 Day Precision Rifle Course - Colorado

I'm also interested in the spring schedule when that comes out. Unfortunately, this class conflicts with 1st weekend of 3rd Elk season. What are the main differences between the 2 and 3 day course?
