what are your thoughts on boots?

I use sno-seal which is a bees wax based waterproofer but there is nothing wrong with using mink oil for the same thing. If you keep a danner well oiled there is no reason they wont stay waterproof for as long as the boot doesn't have a whole in it. for me i can go about a year on a pair before...

Rifle Scopes Best tracking reliable scope for $1000-$1500

Yup I read an article a guy from Leupold wrote about proper optics maintenance and he said that was the reason for most of their optics that come in for repair. I have never had issues but i would prefer not to so it doesn't hurt any. Just don't forget to turn it back.

Rifle Scopes Best tracking reliable scope for $1000-$1500

I love my vortex viper pst 6-24 tracks beautifully. there is a hell of a lot of good options in that price range though. i am a firm believer in releasing the spring tension in your optics as well.

what are your thoughts on boots?

Its sounds to me like you don't oil your boots regularly. I beat the piss out of my boots and never get more than a year either I finally started getting a year out of them when i switched to danner. Most other boots have only lasted 6-8 months. just my 2 cents

Rifle Scopes Question for Vortex Viper PST Owners

I do agree that different people have different experiences with the same glass, but for me the glass was on par or above anything else I could get my hands on except for the nightforce. I may well have gotten a particularly good one but those are the results i found with mine.

Hunting & Fishing Largest animal killed with a 22lr

1500lb steers. From a foot. But a .22 lr has a lot more to it than most people think. It would punch through your chest at 500yds as long as it didn't hit bone.

    long range .22 lr

I have been considering that scope for my .22 I just bought a viper pst and love the thing and i have a 4-12 diamond back and really like that too but what kind of glass quality are there crossfires at high magnifications?
