    Does it irritate you too?

@Mcap yes, it pisses me off as well. As common as it is there must be a reason but I don't know what it is.

    What triggers you

People that ask me a question and when I answer they say, "Perfect." I always ask them, "What's perfect about that? There's more than 1 way to answer that question and I am not perfect."

You think it has changed here and I agree, not for the better either, I am 74 YO, 3rd generation born in Colorado. Fuck John Denver and his Rocky Mountain High.

I'm not the OP, I just wear, with pride, the same Horse Blanket patch. I am cutting some slack here on the OP. All VAs are not the same as to care. Cheyenne VA has been outstanding to me, couldn't ask for better. OTOH you couldn't push me into Denver VA with a D-9 Cat Dozer but I have been...

Opinions on Sellier & Bellot ammo in 6.5 cm?

My Savage shoots it well, my Tikka not so well. Good enough for plinking. I found some flash holes off center and culled those, the rest I reloaded and had good luck with them, better than Hornady. YMMV Primer pockets are tight.

    not snipery but vintage

I have a 30/40 Krag a friend gave me years ago that his Dad was Bubba on. Good God, it is the ugliest "Sporterized" rifle I have ever seen. Such a shame as the metal is pristine and the bore looks like new. Is there any place to get a correct unmolested stock for them? and any metal I might...

@tomme boy My friend and I bought Russian SKS rifles at $80 and $85 years ago. I still have my receipt for $80 + tax. There is a Russian and 2 Chinese on the auction bill at Michael Auction, Julesburg, CO 11 March if you are interested. All 3 are like new. They take internet bids I think or...

I have 1 mile on my friends farm but that is 65 miles away so I don't shoot it too often. I'm usually there to work, not play. I will send you a PM so you can look at our local range if you want to.

Site updates coming next Wednesday at 8am CT!

I like and use the Stickys in Reloading but there are a lot of them to scroll through to get to active threads. Can that be changed somehow?

So 7.62X51 right? Having played around with my range finder from the front porch I find it easy to believe the 56 yard range. With ranges such as that I would think that a CNS shot would be easily doable if you had to. Do you practice for that? In most situations I would guess that you would go...

    New guy

I'm just curious, what ranges do you guys train to and what size is your target at your longest range you go for? In a Metro situation I would think most shots are fairly short whereas a lot of guys here tend to start at 600 and go out from there. I think your job would be rather challenging...

    125th Anniversary Mauser 98s

Beautiful rifle, surprised it has no schnabel. Some schnabels are quite ornate. My friend has one on a rifle that looks like ram's horns. Too rich for my blood but I like it.
