    Great.. Thanks guys. I was afraid I needed a really high magnification,but it appears clarity and maybe less magnification is what counts.

    Thanks for the info guys. Do you think a 4-16x42 would reach 1000yds..?? or a 6.5-20x50??

    I know the pitfalls of overscoping and certainly don't want that. So,would a 4-16x42 scope work? I would like to take the rifle to its effective max on steel which should be around 800 yds. if I read correctly.Shooting mostly Hornady 123 gr A-max factory rounds. No handloads yet. Just got the...

    Thank you....and like all JP's I've known,it is extremely accurate. Only had it out to 545yds. so far,but it is an awesome rifle.

    JP receivers are very nice.Always had great experiences w/ Megas and like the set screw for tightening the upper and lower. Just a personal thing.

    First post. I've been lurking awhile amd really learned a lot from you guys. A great Forum. JP CTR-02....It's a total JP build but John Paul agreed to use Mega Arms matching billet receivers. 20" barrel,JP compensator,and Burris MTAC 1.5-6x40 scope in a JP one-piece mount.
